My in-laws have moved into Harmony on the Peninsula. From the administrators down to the CNAs, the med techs, and the people who work in the dining hall, everybody is very caring. They are very welcoming and want to help in any way they can. It is a small community, and everybody knows each other. We have been very pleased with the care they're getting so far. They have large rooms with a bathrooms and kitchenettes, and they have a few two-bedrooms. My in-laws are in a one-bedroom, and it's very bright with large windows and a kitchenette. It is nice and clean. The facility is only six years old, so everything is very clean and bright. They have an activity calendar with activities going on every day from art to bingo. They actually have a little theater that they show movies in every night. My in-laws have not been able to partake in it because we've been so busy with moving in, but they definitely will. They also have a library with books for the residents to borrow. It's a smaller facility, so there aren't things like gyms, pools, or anything like that. There is a nice patio off the dining room. They have a big grill and things out there in warm weather. It's a very nice facility. I have actually eaten meals with them because my in-laws are getting all three meals a day. The meals have been good. Over the holidays, they were a little understaffed, but that's to be expected. They have their large meal at lunchtime and a lighter meal for dinner. The facility is laid out very well.

We toured Harmony on the Peninsula. We were inquiring about all levels of care. The staff was very friendly. The administrator we met seemed very friendly. The place was very clean. There was no smell. It was a nice place. In the assisted living part, it seemed like it would be like you were kind of living at home. It didn't seem like an institution.

We visited Harmony on the Peninsula. They took us to the cafeteria, which was very fancy, and the grounds where they can sit outside and walk around or work in the garden. They gave us a tour of the different floor patterns, and they showed us the library. The tenants looked very happy being there, and they didn't look depressed. The person who gave us the tour was very informative about their meals, the activities, and how much it would cost us for my parent.

The Crossings on the Peninsula was relatively new. It was very nice, like a high-end hotel. Everybody was very nice, too. They had a community room where they do crafts and hold their community meetings. They also had an exercise room, a small library, and a bistro.
