Carla Hope Andersen, RN is a 1982 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Nursing, and since, has cared for people of all ages, in homes, hospitals, schools, nursing homes and wellness spas. It is Carla’s great privilege and honor to serve, keeping her charges informed, comfortable and safe. Patient education helps to allay fears, validate normalcy, and maintain a sense of calm when life gets interrupted.
Happy Hearts Home Care was born from a desire to provide a calm, loving presence and skillful nursing care to those experiencing the last stages of physical life. All of us, individual expressions of our divine Source, deserve love, respect and dignity, simply because We Are.
Death of the physical body is feared by most, often because we were not socialized to understand our Eternal, energetic nature. We ARE Energy, which is neither created, nor destroyed. It just IS.

Carla provided my mother excellent in home 7/24 hour care for 2 months while she battled cancer. Her compassion and dedication to her profession is unparalleled. She is no doubt highly recommended!

My mother has been reluctant to have help in the home because she has been afraid of losing her independence. A good friend referred Carla to me and she was indeed a blessing. My mother has neuropathy and she helped her with an exercise regime and more importantly left her with the mantra "keep moving" so that she can have mobility longer. We knew we would not have Carla long because of she was moving to NVA, but she developed a trusting relationship and my mother is now open to having someone in her home and also has a better sense of the type of help that is available. Carla has also followed up with my mother by phone.

Carla was a great help to me here for the past couple of months. She has vast knowledge on many subjects in the heath care field and nutrition. She is great to have conversations with you will never be bored. Great at her profession and personality. I just wish I would have found her years ago. Carla has been with my mother for several months to help support me with In Home caregiving. She has always been prompt. Having Carla come into my home and provide me with relief two days a week has been a blessing. Carla massaged mom before getting her into the shower. Dressed and completed exercises with my mother. Spoke to her gently and frequently. To assist me, she also changed and washed mom’s sheets weekly. Folded clothes, mopped floor and made the best egg salad. I really miss the egg salad now that Carla has relocated.

Carla became invaluable to the care of my mother for several years to after her last breathe which enabled me keep my mother in her home. She provided excellent physical and mental care and was able to do whatever was needed and more. Carla was very kind to my mother and kept her happy, well nourished, and comfortable.
