In 2015 this company was sued by the federal government for Medicare Fraud. You can read it online. Patients in the LTC are hidden from sight and those who are unable to express their needs are ignored and left to fend for themselves for the most part. Patients decline here and develop pressure sores from being wet and not being changed and turned. Many die. The management treats the staff with cruelty. They are mean to and don't care about their staff and that puts patients care in jeopardy. Often patients call out for help and are ignored. Most of the nurses and aides don't care because they are beaten down from being paid so little and treated so poorly. It trickles down to the patients.

Village at ManorCare needs a lot of room for improvement, but it was OK at first. The food wasn't all that desirable; they could've done a lot more. When the patients call, it takes them too long to get to them and they're not that busy. The community itself could've been a whole lot cleaner. My aunt was in the rehab and we would go through the nursing home part to go out to the patio. It was a lot of money for not enough stuff. It did not impress me. She was right around the corner from home, which was the only reason why I put her there.

My father has been at The Village at ManorCare since December. I was impressed with it. As for the room, it is a one-bedroom, and it has itself a little efficiency kitchenette and its own bathroom. They have an activities director that does things with them. Yesterday, they were doing exercises and trivia, like a news-type thing. They have scheduled activities and a calendar with that. The staff is very nice. I like the way they interact with the residents, and they seem to really care about them. They are considerate of their feelings. I'm happy with this place.

The staff in The Village at Manor Care is excellent in quality of care given to my mother. They have worked with our family in all aspects of our needs. I would highly recommend The Village to everyone!

My mom was well taken care of in The Village at ManorCare. Their nurses were kind and attentive. I saw and loved their activities. My mother's room wasn't always cleaned as well as it should have been though.
