About This Community

We began our quest into senior living because of our love for our beloved mother, Mary Bickford, whose needs became too great for us to manage. As we researched senior living options, we were shocked at our findings. The options offered too much or too little – none met her needs and nothing felt like home. Since we couldn’t find what we wanted, we decided to create what we needed. Our main desire was to create a place that helped her achieve an equivalent peace and happiness that she had earlier in her life.

We understand that selecting a senior living community for your loved one is one of the toughest decisions that you will ever face. We will work with you to ensure that the transition is as easy and comfortable as possible. Whether your loved one is at home, in the hospital or even in another state, we can work with your hospital, insurance company, and doctor to make your difficult decision easier on you and your family. Aging can be difficult – but we’ve also seen the beauty in aging. Our mother’s happiness inspired us. We created Bickford for her and now we’re devoted to serving yours. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Bickford of Chesterfield was very nice. This place was our second choice if we didn't have room in the facility my mother got into. It was a pretty new facility. We only met with the person giving the tour, and she was very nice.

I toured the assisted living of Bickford of Chesterfield and we loved it. It was very nice, very clean, and everything was really pretty. But it was priced a lot higher than we wanted to go. They had a lot of activities and they had physical therapy there. Everybody that I met was very friendly, but I didn't see many of their employees.

We did a tour of Bickford of Chesterfield, and several items made it on my list. It was very clean and well taken care of. It was a single floor and had gardens that people could walk out into. They have a very flexible menu and dining venues. The structure was relatively new, every five years or something like that, I can't remember. The personnel and staff all seemed very friendly. This combination of things was a general impression. It was just that well-kept facility. They had nice-sized rooms. I like the layout of the 1-bedroom facilities, and I like the amenities

Bickford is brand new and in a very nice setting. I felt the memory care unit was not active enough for my mother. They allowed and encouraged pets; if you wanted a pet, they would help take care of it. I really liked Bickford, but it didn't feel that homey. The staff seemed pleasant enough and seemed to know what they were doing. It had two different parts: assisted and memory center. They had other activities in the memory center, but I went there two or three times, and every time they were just having kind of discussion in the central area. That would've driven my mom off the wall. I didn't taste the food, but the menu looked good. The dining area looked nice. This is my number 2 spot. They were really good. I liked it a lot.
