My feisty father had a second stroke which was debistating to his health and body. The staff worked with him to make sure the original hospital diagnosis was accurate. They then explained the data with us and answered all our questions
They cared for him with patience and understanding and, at times, I felt that they were taking care of us, too.

I'm staying at Woodmont Center. Some of the staff members are really good, and some are not as good. They haven't had any cases of the virus in here, so that's a big plus for them. They make sure that I get my medications. They don't have a gym or a swimming pool, but their rehab staff is really good. They do all the cleaning and cooking, but the food is really bland. They don't get anything but meat and potatoes type food. They always have somebody going around cleaning. They give out a calendar of activities and they have a bunch of activities, but I'm not interested in any of them. For example, they have a cooking activity where they bake cookies.

Do NOT put your loved ones here unless you want them to die. Unprofessional, rude staff who do not respond to call buttons, do minimal effort, and put patient health and life at risk. Staff tell you not to leave items in room as other patients often steal things - what does that tell you? relative lasted less than 24 hours before returning to hospital in declined health. Had prescribed low sodium diet - they ignored; macaroni & cheese and other profit maximized food items every meal. You've been warned.

My 93 year old Mother was out in a room with a 32 year old who kept the tv on all night and moaned from pain so loudly that I could hear her through the phone. My mother waited over an hour for help to go to the bathroom (she was on diuretics) and the staff member who finally arrived humiliated her by saying she could have just gone in her diaper. They failed to give her lung treatments for several days because they couldn’t find the mask — she ended up in the ER with pneumonia — the mask was her bedside table. The medical care and facilities are sadly lacking. The staff should not be working with geriatric patients. Or should be better trained to take care of the elderly. Avoid this place if you care for your family member.

The kennel I manage is cleaner than this place. There were ants on my mother, not once but twice. I had her out of there within 12 hoursof the 2nd ant infestation. My personal opinion is she DECLINED 50%. She sat in her own urine and feces for more than 2 hours at a time, even though she rang her buzzer. I had to hire a private caregiver just to change, rotate and feed her. I came every night to help her with brushing teeth and cleaning up for bed. I watched not only her decline after getting cdif, I watched her roomate decline to the point I couldnt look at her any more. If you read reviews, then shame on you for putting your loved one in that place. I regret I didn't look in to facilities closer. The 1 star I am required to give is double the true evaluation I really feel they should have. Please evaluate facilities better than I did.!

I had my Sister there for about 1 month - the 1st two days were a little "Rocky" only because she doesn't like to follow "rules." LOL But this place - (though the Walls are not all "decked out" and the Carpet is not New - started feeling "like home!" My Sister - with Dementia- had full privileges to walk down the hallways and if she knew where a particular patient was - could go say "Hi!" She didn't want to leave - even though the door to outside was right there. I know they have a way of knowing who's coming and going in case she may have tried to escape. After Rehab - I moved her to another facility for Respite for 2 weeks - I wash I hadn't. They had her behind Steel Doors and with 5 others that could no longer speak and were not allowed to interact with the other people living there beyond the "Steel" Door. So Sad - I highly recommend Woodmont! Like I said - not all "Frilled" up to look "Pretty" but it is the "Heart" inside that counts.

Woodmont Center is where my mother is, and we'll probably get her long term care. It's right by my work, so I can go there anytime. That's where she had rehab, so she kind of adjusted to being there. I could use more information from them though if I'm sitting in the doctor's office with my mom. They have Bingo, churches that come in and do services, reflection time, and games. They have a menu for the day, and they get to see what they're going to have for meals.

The rehab room is nothing special. Rooms offer zero privacy. Description states recently renovated however that is a lie. This place is old and dirty. The cna's aren't very attentive and seem like they hate their jobs. Takes aids a long time to answer call bell. I don't feel comfortable leaving my father here by himself. I highly recommend taking a look yourself before sending your loved one.

From the first day as a resident , my mother received the best of care. I was always at ease knowing she was safe there. Many of the staff members went out of their way to make her happy and comfortable. The nurses and aides are worked very hard , and live up to the challenge. More staff should be hired. I have already and will continue to recommend Woodmont Center to others.

I was thrilled with Dad's care while in rehab. During his 2+ month stay, I visited 6 days a week, saw his room cleaned each day, bed linens changed, etc. His rehab program was customized to his needs and modified as needed according to his progress -- they even made modifications in goals so we could take him in our car to his many outside doctors' appointments rather than hiring a medical transport. Staff was great - called him by name, talked to him each time they came in, paid attention to changes in his attitude or physical discomfort. They staff also kept me well informed in terms of health status and progress in rehab. Nurses, CNA;s, therapists, social workers all seemed communicate well with each other and were on the same page as to how to work toward our goal of resuming independent living. )Goal achieved!)

The place smells and they have a high return to hospital rate. The nursing team seems to struggle with staffing and morale. The dining room looked good but the patient rooms were dirty, etc

I attempted to reach out to the social worker Teresa who was assigned to a friend of mine and explain some concerns I had with my friend's situation and she told me that she didn't want to listen and slammed the phone down in my ear.

I visited this facility. The staff was very nice and informative. They were welcoming and friendly. Cleanliness seems to be okay in this place. It was a pretty decent facility. Everything was fine.

Woodmont center in Fredericksburg, VA is absolutely one of the nicest facilities I have been in. I had the opportunity to visit the facility three weeks ago, and during those weeks I visited I really got to see how well the individuals who live there are taken care of. First of all, the CNA's that they have staffed really do care about their residents who they serve. I noticed that the resident that I was visiting was well taken care of. She does not have any skin breakdown, she seemed to be well nourished and groomed. Her room was always clean and smelled fresh each time I came their. My concern with Woodmont and many other facilities I've been in they seem to always be under staffed. The hall that I visited had about 50-60 people working with only two CNA's per hall and one nurse on each hall. I really think that these long term facilities should really invest more money on having much more help considering how much profit they make.
