This place was absolutely horrible. They have no linens to change beds. The food was terrible and some days my loved one had to eat off paper plates and the food is cold that way. The nurses weren’t my loved ones the medicine they were prescribed.

It was clean, but some staff argumentative, mother in law basically left to lie around when she was supposed to be in there for aggressive rehab.

Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center is really good at treating my mom well. It looks like a hospital, but it's always clean and well taken care of. The staff is on top of everything. My mom had an infection that they caught right away. So, the staffing is really nice and they're very attentive. The food they serve is nutritious and just what she needed. They have a gym and a big activities room, too. She has her own room right now that's nice and seems comfortable.

I've visited this facility. It's clean and cheerful. The staff is very friendly, especially the Service Ambassador, Brittany.

I live across the street from the Center and visit friends and members of the Culpeper United Methodist Church there often. I have observed a very nice change taking place at the facility. Not only is the entire facility being updated with new equipment, carpeting, decor, and painting, The staff has been "overhauled". I now see a lot more smiling faces, residents enjoying the food. Staff with a loving, caring attitude toward all the residents and patients! Thank you new Director!

Nurses were informative and responsive. Meticulous with meds and I am on a lot. Thanks to the whole therapy team. Where else can you get sung to while you work out!

My father-in-law was admitted here from Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Although his admission was rocky (to say the least), after visiting him over the past two weeks, this is what I have to say:
The facility gets an A+ for cleanliness...I was pleasantly surprised to notice there was absolutely none of the typical "urine" odor found in nursing homes.
The staff gets an A+ for compassion and hard work. I never saw anyone "hanging around".
The staff gets a C for response time to patients..but in their defense, this facility is obviously significantly understaffed. The nurses and aides were all constantly working...skipping lunch breaks and covering extra shifts. They even would find a sandwich for my father-in-law when he did not like the meal brought to him.
The biggest problem here that I see is communication. It is almost impossible to get anyone to answer a phone, and there were problems getting orders relayed down through to the staff. (ie: this patient needs full assist with meals). However, once the orders were properly relayed, and everyone knew what they needed to do for my father-in-law, everything started moving like clockwork. Again, I also feel this is because they are significantly understaffed.

My grandmother was in this facility. The faculty was never doing their job; they'd be in the halls goofing off, chatting, or playing on phones rather than talking to patients. They dropped my grandmother several times and did not inform us. Patients would be in the hall looking half dead. The place smelled of urine on every wing. My grandmother ultimately caught a bedsore while in this facility and later died.

I chose to move my 81 year old mother into the facility in January and we just moved her to another facility with what promises to be better skilled nursing care just last week, so she was in the facility for 2-1/2 months. I was scared by all of the negative reviews, but I wanted her to be near family and friends who could visit and buoy her spirits. I was pleasantly surprised by the care shown Mother by both her assigned RNs and the CNAs who do all the heavy lifting. They really spent time with Mother, calming her down when she would have panic attacks, helping her with her rehab, patiently explaining what all her meds were for. The ladies and gentlemen who work at the facility did their very best for her, but they were just spread too thin. They were too understaffed to respond quickly to most non-emergency requests. The food was also very bad. But all in all, one could do much worse than this facility.

My rehab stay here at Culpeper Health and rehab has been excellent . The staff is very loving and compassionate and took such good care of me. I would recommend this center to everyone who who needs inpatient rehab services. The food was very good and I liked dining in the rehab dining room where there were more choices. The therapy team did a great job with my recovery . It's a great place to be if you need it. I really hate to go home!

My daughter was in Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center for 56 days. She was in the hospital and needed to go to the rehab center, and they were the only one that had availability within her health network. It was clean, and the staff was courteous. Her room was always semi-private, and it was functional. The food was fine. Sometimes the food was served in her room, sometimes she went to the dining area. She had occupational rehab, speech and swallowing rehab, and physical rehab, on a rotating basis. The rehab center was good, but the care in the rooms -- the staff that was taking care of her day-to-day -- lacked a lot of attention.

My mom fell while walking her dog and broke her hip. I warned her for months about walking that dog in the dark but she is so stubborn. I thought getting mom back on her feet would be such an ordeal when the hospital suggested rehab but a nice lady came to visit mom right there in the hospital and explained how rehab at Culpeper Health and Rehab would work. When the lady told my mom that we could bring my mom's dog for a visit my mom was sold! In less than 3 weeks mom was back home again. They even brought her home for an evaluation and took her and her dog for a walk to test her abilities and practice everything on her own home "turf" before she actually was discharged from the center for good. Everyone in the center was so nice (Especially the receptionist, Linda- that lady keeps the place going!). We highly recommend Culpeper Health and Rehab.

My mother who has Alzheimer's is a resident and I must say that the care from the staff is wonderful. My mother can be a bit sarcastic at time and very disagreeable but no matter her mood they always smile and be sure she has what she needs. For the most part(other she wants to go home some days) She is very content. Her meals are always served hot and what she is able to eat per dietary restrictions. I am very pleased we were able to have her in a pace where she is closer to us and able to be cared for so well.
