Rooms are boring. TV did not work. Temp of the room was uncomfortably hot.
Day shift was great. They were polite, helpful, and responded quickly to the calls. They often just stopped by to check if we needed anything.
The evening shift left a lot to be desired. No response to the call button. Mom couldn't get up to get to the bathroom, waited as long as she could, finally just wet the bed. Still no one responded. Mom got tired of waiting, got herself up, changed her wet clothes, stripped the bed, and managed to get back in bed. Still no one checked on her through the night.

I was arranging to have my mother moved to Holladay Healthcare. There was a mix up at the hospital about her release date. I had to cancel the pickup. When I called to reschedule. I apologized for the mix-up and nicely asked if they could reschedule the pick up. Jeanette, in admissions, was very rude to me. She acted like I should know the ins and outs of having someone transferred to a rehab. I've never done this before. How would I know their policies and procedures? There was no reason to talk to me that way.
We have arranged to have my mother moved to a different rehab and skilled nursing center. I don't want her where anyone would talk to a family member in that way. It was totally unnecessary.
They lost a patient who might be there for the rest of her life because they couldn't help our family in straightening out a mix up that the hospital created.

My mom was admitted several weeks ago. I was shocked at how different our experience was in contrast to the last time she was here.
The staff was sparse and unresponsive. My mom had not had her second vaccine shot and we were told she could not be vaccinated for a couple of weeks. When the head nurse from her assisted living facility arrived to provide my mom her second shot, she was rebuffed. Nonetheless, they placed another patient in my mom’s room.
We repeatedly made “appointments” for my mom to have her hair done and were assured she was on the schedule, only to find out that the hair salon is closed due to renovation.
My mom’s clothing was often lost or commingled with other patients. She would be in dirty clothes or pajamas when we visited.
Finally, my mom spent her last Saturday at the facility in bed all day since there were apparently there was no staff to provide therapy and she waited 30 minutes to use the rest room due to an unresponsive staff.
I plan to contact the accreditation agency to report our experience. If you have a loved one, we suggest you look elsewhere for rehab care.

My husband was on the alzheimer floor because it was the only available at the time. He was bed ridden, but mostly alert. The patients on that floor are allowed to wander at will, enter other's rooms and generally harass other patients. He was missing an expensive shaver, twice. We finally locked it up. We also had hospice and if not for them, I don't think they would have treated him well. When I visited, I saw him wait 20 minutes for the aide to come in & that was fast! They didn't order his meds, unbeknowst to the hospice nurse & he went into withdrawal. He passed in March and some of his belongings were missing and we never got them back. Wouldn't recommend unless no other choice.

My mom had her leg operated on and is now at Holladay. It’s an excellent facility. The food is excellent. I think her therapy has been good. They do rehab, and the rehab people provide excellent care three times a week. They do physical exercises, games, puzzles, and bingo. It’s a clean and convenient place since my mom lives just a street away. It’s a nice facility.

We had a horrible experience with our Down Syndrome sister. We had to move her to a long term Care Center, and with restrictions on Medicaid ended up here. She was there one week. We are pretty sure all they did was medicate her and keep her in bed. We went daily, and she was so out of it she didn't know who we were. She was not dressed and I literally have a picture of a CNA just standing there feeding her in bed. We were so upset and were able to get her out of there to a more loving, caring, nurturing, rehabilitation location. They were extremely understaffed and there was hardly anyone around. I would never recommend this place to anyone for their loved one.

If you want to speak with your loved one, you better visit because they will not answer the phone, and if they do, they will not know who your person is, or be able to connect you with them. They will place you on hold and leave you there. This was not just a one time fluke, this was repeated week after week. If I had the ability, I would pull my loved one. We are consumers too...we help pay their wages..I don't think they understand that.

Holladay is a great facility. My grandmother was always interactive and always involved with whatever activities they have going on. We never had any complaints with them. She was with my grandpa in a good-sized room, with her own private bathroom. However, when she passed away, they moved my grandpa to a smaller room, and he was really upset and unhappy about it. They were accommodating with what my grandfather wanted to eat.

I liked the staff, and they had nice meals at Holladay Healthcare Center. They will allow them to bring some of their own things to make it homier, like their own television and decorations. The rooms I saw were semi-private, but they were clean and had a nice feel to it. They do have two dining halls, or they can bring meals to the room. There were lots of activities. They had excursions where they take them out on a bus and go places around town, like to cultural events and to Wal-Mart twice a month.

We received word yesterday that the facility my mother in law was residing at was closing. My mother in law was scared and crying because everything familiar to her was now going to change. I knew many families would be searching for a new facility and it was important to my husband and I that we find a place that not only provided quality care but the personal touch from kind and caring staff. The moment I walked into Holladay Healthcare Center I was greeted by the staff. They listened to my concerns and gave me a tour of the facility. Introducing me to the Administrator and other staff members. Next, I was concerned about getting the right room mate for my mother in law. Immediately, they described a wonderful lady who ended up being the perfect fit. We submitted our paperwork for admittance and within a couple of hours received a phone call saying my mother in law was accepted. The staff even helped put my mother in laws clothes away and other essentials. I think if someone is looking for a quality care center you will find it at Holladay Healthcare Center. It has a home like environment to it. Everything smells clean. The dining room offers wonderful meals and there is also a beauty salon. My mother in law is excited that she has a new home, new friends and peace of mind again.

Everybody went out of their way to be friendly. The therapists were friendly and knew what they were doing. Everyone is so friendly and they treat him like their dad. Love the location and new halls.

My husband is at Holladay Care Health Center. This facility was recommended by the VA Hospital. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and odor-free. It has windows and it has its own bathroom. I have eaten there with my husband and I really like their food. It's like a restaurant-style food. Their dining room is very spacious. Right now my husband does not participate in any activities, but they do have bingo and they take time to take the residents out.

Holladay Healthcare is scary. It didn't look like the staff was too involved. We just did a quick walk through.

I thought it was very nice - clean and their dining room was exceptional.
Would be a place I would not mind being in but the need comes.
