My mother spent her last few weeks at Richfield Care Center. I visited her there several times and she was always bathed and clean. Her room was clean. Her medications were given as prescribed by her physician. She was in "end of life" care and required constant attention. The caregivers were patient and loving with her. As sad I it made me to not be able to give her the level of care that she required at home, after several visits I felt much better about her having to be at the Richfield Care Center. When she did pass away, her husband was at her side and the caregivers were very supporting and patient, giving him time to be with her and say his farewells. I would recommend this care center to anyone who is struggling with the decision of how to best care for an elderly relative.

December 23, 2015 I lost my wife after approximately 3 weeks at the Richfield Care Center and though we lost the battle we will be forever grateful for the loving and respectful care she received. The staff of nurses, aids, administrators, therapists and doctor from kitchen, dining room and entertainment director were heaven sent. My wife’s every need was given by obviously caring loving souls who are dedicated to their profession and just plain kindness. Myself and our family will always be indebted to them and Avalon must be very proud to have them represent care in one of their facilities during that most dreaded time in our lives. For my beautiful sweetheart Janice H. Murdock from her husband David

Most of the people at Richfield Care Center were recovering from stroke or were not able to take care of themselves at all. The facility was basically clean. The staff were inexperienced, inefficient, disorganized and mostly dangerous. When my father had dentures, the aide put a whole tube of Fixodent into his mouth. She was mentally-handicapped, she didn't have a clue what she was doing and she put my father's life at risk as well as others. They didn't have any checklist for the aides to check against the medication or anything. My dad was left in a wheelchair which he fell out of because nobody came in. He got bedsores, it was terrible.

I have visited this facility many times, for many reasons. Mostly it was to give entertainment to the residents there as a singing group and church related activities. And just recently my grandfather had to spend a few weeks in there because of knee surgery. Every time I have entered the center it is very clean and tidy. The staff is always curious and kind to everyone, guest, residents, and staff. My Grandfather was always very well taken care of. They always made sure that he took his medication on time and that he was never in pain. The physical therapist at the center was always prompt and professional. I do only have one downfall to this facility and it was the cost, but I guess that is to be expected because it is a medical center.
