Gardens Assisted Living is nestled on the bench in Ogden. We offer beautiful indoor gardens in our raised bed planters, with one level living and dozens of skylights with natural light. Bubbling brooks and ponds also hold fish and turtles, with birds chirping in their cages in the trees.

We offer 3 home cooked meals daily, with an evening snack. Fun daily activities are also on the schedule. Our grounds have beautiful flowers, trees, and lush bushes for residents to enjoy-including a rose garden that our residents care for themselves.

My mom moved into the Gardens Assisted Living. We chose it because it is very clean. The employees are very nice and very happy. It was reasonably priced and something that we could afford. Everything's really good. The food is great. They have a hair salon. They have exercise classes. They do arts and crafts. They play games. The facility smells nice and clean. They have birds, fish ponds, and trees growing in the building. It's just overall very appealing.

We went to the Gardens Assisted Living last August. They were in the middle of remodeling. It was good. The patients seemed to be good, and they didn't smell awful or anything. They were kind of out and about and watching a movie. Some were eating and some were in the craft room, so it seems good. I think the staff was what we liked probably the most about it. They were very friendly and talked to the people as we walked through. They seemed to know what they needed at the time. It was clean.

When I first pulled up Gardens Assisted Living, I thought I'm not even going to go in and it had nothing to do with the facility. It just was a little too far away from my mom's children so I think her visits would be fewer there. As far as the facility is, it's beautiful. As you walk in, it just was welcoming. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and answered all my questions. I liked how they had their dining facility in between. It made it look a little homier instead of like a big cafeteria. I walked by the room and they were doing some kind of Halloween party. It looked like they were good at keeping the residents entertained and active. What I liked about this one is the gardens were inside the hallways, so they had a lot of greenery and birds in cages there. They even had some fish ponds and areas where you could hear the water running. I liked that part. It is a little bit older inside, but they have done some remodeling. The price point was also more reasonable.

My mom is in Gardens Assisted Living. As far as I could see, it was very nice. It's an older place, but very well kept. The rooms that they showed me to offer her were very, very clean, and the dining room looked very clean and nice. The staff has been phenomenal in helping me because this is a long distance type situation. It has everything that I felt she needed, and it is like three blocks from my son.

We weren't impressed with Gardens Assisted Living. The facility seemed rundown a little bit, and it wasn't well kept. The room was very small. The person who accommodated us was very helpful. The dining area was average. They had a craft area and a beauty salon.

Gardens Assisted Living was very nice, but it didn't fit my needs. It was very clean. The staff was very nice. They didn't cause any problems. They allowed me to walk around and check it out. The rooms looked like a medical dormitory. It was set up for people that need more help than what I need. It's an older place, but it's well-kept. It's got a lot of greenery and you've got an indoor garden. It's beautiful and it's very nice inside.

Gardens Assisted Living was very nice. The people were great. The rooms were smaller than other facilities, and mostly the shower area of the rooms were smaller. My brother-in-law is a big guy, so he would have had to use the shower that they had down the hall. For a smaller person, it was probably fine. They have a hair salon and a nice area out in front for people to sit. They have activities. We didn't eat there, but they had a nice area for the people to spend with their families in the front lobby area. They're very accommodating. They had sliding glass doors that went out onto individual patios and it was all on one level. It's older, but there's a lot of space in the hallways. They have birds and plants in the middle. I was very impressed with the staff. I've also had another friend that was there and it was fine.

I’m not really happy about Gardens Assisted Living. I don’t care for the food service since you don’t have a choice in what they’re serving, plus they’re not allowed to take any food out of the dining hall to their rooms. The rooms are very nice, and the facility is clean.

I also went to the Gardens, but there was no memory care. I liked that they had beautiful large planters inside, which was very nice. However, they had two separate dining rooms, and I thought they had grown too large. They were not really big, they just out grown.

We thought that Gardens Assisted living was clean. We visited several places, but this one is closer to our home so we can visit her more often. We liked this facility because it is only one level. We felt that it was very clean and affordably priced. It is the one we liked. When it came down to talk to my mother-in-law in living in an assisted care center, she was anxious to go where she already knew a few people. Good thing she happened to have a friend that was already there. We checked a couple of the rooms that were available when we first visited the facility. It is a studio room with a bed in the corner and a bathroom just adjacent to it. They have their own dining area, and they have the residents assigned to a particular table, so if someone was missing, they could check on the resident and see if everything is OK. We liked that because I thought it was a safety feature. They do have a calendar every month where they have movies and bingo. The families sometimes come in and do musical performances. They usually have movies once or twice during the afternoon. During good weather, they take the residents for van rides and let them out to buy things that they like.

The staff at The Gardens was wonderful. They really seemed to care about the residents of the facility. The dining room was nice and served good food. There seemed to be plenty of activities planned for the residents - bingo, movies, birthday parties, etc. Parts of the building were a little run-down, but overall it was nice.

I had a friend who lived at this facility for several years and it was an older place but more affordable which made it nice for my friend who didn't have many assets. I was very impressed by several things at this place: first, the staff were friendly and helpful and I even got to know the person who did all of the remodeling and maintanance. Each room was redone when a resident would move out. Also, the place lived up to its name and their were beautiful grounds where we could sit outside on benches and walk around the pathways. Inside they had plants growing in hallways where there were skylights and they had some birds in cages. It was a very home-like atmosphere and had a large lobby and rooms for gathering and where they provided entertainment. I knew four women who were living at this facility and they all seemed to like it there.

This is an extremely happily situated facility. You can't get anymore scenic than this, butted right up against the mountain, with all the green and lush growth surrounding it. I love visiting here if just for the view. The residents are encouraged to be outside to take in the fresh mountain air and the beauty. It must be doing them well, because their cheeks are all rosy and healthy. They even have nice walks that they can go on that are still in the mountains but not the difficulty of hiking trails. I've been told that the outside barbeques and other nature walks are the best parts of the facility. I believe it. The location of this facility alone is enough to make people younger and more spry. I'm pretty sure that I did a little skipping myself.
