About This Community

At Arbor House, residents are at the center of our small, homelike senior living community. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care. Our community welcomes pets and offers activities to help residents thrive in mind and body, such as tai chi, bible study, sing-alongs, movies, creative cooking class, weekly happy hour socials, and monthly pet therapy. I toured Arbor House for my mother. They were very friendly and very helpful as far as offering information, like aid that my mom could receive for help in paying for the facility. The room was fine, but it looked like they were understaffed as far as the cleanliness goes. I realize that this is Texas and leaves blow in and out, but I guess that did not put a good impression on me. The menu was not as extensive compared to a different facility I toured. They take them shopping, and they do offer transport to medical facilities. They have games and movies. The location was good. They did have a little front patio that was nice.

I liked that it was very homey-looking. I happened to be there when the residents were doing their exercise class and they seemed to be enjoying it. They take the seniors shopping once a week if they want to do that, and they have a van driver to take them. It's also a pet-friendly community. They serve three meals a day. They provide housekeeping and they wash the linens once a week.

My mother has been here for two weeks now, and it has been great. The rooms are clean. The dining area is very adequate and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's small and personal.
