Staff very friendly. They always kept me informed of any changes with my Dad. Facility very clean. Highly recommend this facility to others.

Good facility and I recommend it

The facility is great, I liked the activities, I liked everything about it! The food could be a bit better but I was restaurant owner so my expectations are high. Other than that this place was wonderful and I would recommend to everyone, they provide excellent care!

My therapist was the bomb dot com. She was very helpful and gave me plenty of ideas on how to help me with my speech.

Everybody was kind. Staff is professional and kind. It was very clean.

My family and I were very happy with the personal and holistic treatment my grandmother received.

La Paloma is located in a rural community of about 5500 people. Being a small community, San Diego often includes this facility in its many annual activities and events. The facility is warm and inviting having many homey characteristics. At the entrance of the facility, visitors are met with a lovely sitting room with ambient lighting and comfortable seating. Further in they encounter a TV room with a state-of-the-art flat screen TV and several sofas and armchairs. There's also a restaurant-like dining room off to one side that can easily accommodate about 60 residents at one time. There's nothing antiseptic or institutional about the decor in this facility. Some activities enjoyed by the residents include range of motion exercises, Bingo, arts and crafts, spa treatments including manicures and hair styling for the lady residents. The gentleman will enjoy a game of Dominoes or relax in front of the TV to watch a football game. Church on Sunday is another activity that all residents enjoy.While familiarity is considered unprofessional, it is hard not to notice the tenderness and personal care many of the staff take with the residents, not to mention how enriching nit is for the residents themselves. There is definitely a sense of home and family in this assisted living complex.

my mother has been at this facility for the second time in past 2 months... and it is the worst place ever.... they are short handed,most of the cna's have no common sense.. the nurses in charge sit talking and dont manage the place. my mother fell twuce after we repeatedly asked them to watch for that. 99% of the time we got visit she is soiled and sopping wet to the point she now has severe diaper rash.... I strongly do not recommend this place for anyone's loved one, and we are transferring my mother out of there today
