I toured the independent living at Discovery Village At Dominion, but they also have a building that is an assisted living. There were three different buildings, and the big building was independent. They had all kinds of things. Everything is great, which is why I went there. They have 10 times more amenities than other places. They have everything. They go out to dinner every week; whoever wants to, you sign up. They have a happy hour once a week. Every holiday, they have some deal, and sometimes they just do potluck dinner, and everybody brings something. The staff in charge of them was fantastic. You can have food. Breakfast is included, but if you want to include all meals, you can do that. There are a lot of options there. They're doing a lot of updating.

My sister has been a resident of Discovery Village at Dominion for at least five years now. It's an independent living and she lived there with her husband, and he passed away in February. I think they've been very satisfied there, although it's an independent living, so they did not participate in the meals or any of the activities or anything. They were happy there, and it's a very nice place, but they didn't participate in any of the activities. I know they have a library. Also, as you walk in, they have a courtyard and a dog park, and that's the one amenity that they took advantage of because they have a dog. Their apartment is lovely. It is very nice, but it is all their own furniture. They have lovely furniture. It is spacious and it is lovely. I'm moving her from the very large two-bedroom that they have to a one-bedroom, but I have never seen one. They provide meals but I've never tried nor has my sister ever tried the meals. Value for money is about an average.

My parents are living in Discovery Village At Dominion and it's working out well. The people that work there are very friendly, very professional. They do a nice job. They have a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment and it's very, very comfortable. They have a nice and large walk-in closet. It is very spacious with plenty of room for storage. It's a very nice floor plan. It's just two complete full bedrooms with a walk-in closet and two full baths, granite countertops, new refrigerator, stove, everything is very nice. They have nice amenities. They pretty much have everything. They have a beauty salon, a gym, an activity center, and a swimming pool. They have happy hour, and a little place where you can meet; and they have a theater. It's got it all. Their activities include bridge, hand, and foot. They have different outings like going out to restaurants, they go out to casinos, and they have transportation that takes you to the grocery store. So, lots of things going on.

My parents have moved into Watercrest at Dominion. It is new. The finishes and the layout are contemporary. The place itself has the feel of an upscale hotel; it has a nice aroma. They have very wide hallways. My parents are the first occupants of their apartment. It is very nice, very clean, very upscale, very modern, and very spacious with high ceilings and very open floorplan. They have brand-new appliances too. Watercrest at Dominion has an indoor swimming pool with regular water exercise classes, and an exercise room with aerobic equipments and small weights. There are regular outings scheduled to take any residents who are interested to museums, to stores, to the medical center, to theaters, and to plays. Once a week, they offer outings to a restaurant for dinner. The dining room is nice, but only one meal a day is offered at lunchtime. They do have continental breakfast everyday, but it is so trivial that my parents have chosen not to even bother to walk down there. They just do breakfast in their apartment instead.

I am moving to Watercrest at Dominion next month. The information they sent me was what I was looking for. My sons have visited and they like it too. They serve three meals a day and they have every activity under the sun. The facility is wonderful.

We liked Watercrest at Dominion's location. I preferred if it had three meals a day, but it had only two meals a day and no meals on the weekend. My kids said it would work for them. They had activities like cards and bingo a couple of times a week. They had cars that would take you to the doctors. They had a bus that would take you two times a week to the mall, the bank and to the different things that you needed to go, and they would take you back for lunch. The food was excellent. They had a library, a pool, a salon, and a massage room. They had their massage therapist.

Watercrest at The Dominion was a very complete place. It had all the different areas where one can go in from assisted to nursing home. They have nurses there in their nursing home 24/7, but that is priced higher. The place is very nice. I like the fact that you can get the help that you needed.

Watercrest at Dominion was brand new and really modern. There were exercises, water aerobics, and crafts. They served breakfast, but then you have to buy a meal plan every month, which was a little odd, for lunch and dinner. I thought the price was wonderful. They had a barber shop, a beauty shop, an outdoor heated pool, game rooms, TV rooms, computer rooms, and lots of amenities. They even have a pet park where you can take your pet, which was really nice. The staff was very friendly, nice, very ready to help you, and even do more than what you expected. We had lunch one time, and the food was OK, but the service was quite slow. The residents told me they have to wait quite a while to be served.

My parents selected Watercrest at Dominion. It is a brand-new facility that costs about $1,000 less a month than anywhere else we checked. We are able to get a locked-in rate. We showed it to our parents, and they offered us to stay for lunch which they provided. The food was great. The apartments are much more spacious than anywhere else, and the price can't be beaten.

Watercrest at Dominion was very pretty, but it was too expensive. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful.
