Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe was awesome. We like that place. They had a specialty for dementia. We really enjoyed that one. That was probably one of my favorite ones. They showed us everything. My father could be in assisted living until his dementia got worse. They had a beautiful courtyard. We got to see the dining area where they would eat and the rooms. So that was nice, and everybody was friendly. They had a nice courtyard. They had a refrigerator and a microwave in the unit.

Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe was OK. The people were very friendly and courteous. Some of the residents were also very friendly. The apartments were very spacious and very easy for us to walk through. We have a service animal and they were very nice to her. They gave us a to-go meal and it was great. They have bingo games, a walking trail, Loteria, and arts and crafts. I could get an audio book for the visually impaired in their library, too.

I liked the activities that Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe had for their residents. They had live entertainment one night a week and the rooms were nice. They were spacious enough to where you don't feel claustrophobic. It had a microwave and you could bring a coffee pot and other things if you want. They have a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave, and an oven, too. They will take the resident down to the dining room for every meal and they're allowed to keep whatever snacks they'd like. My husband loves ice cream, so he would have that in the refrigerator where he could keep his ice cream bars handy. That was really nice. The person who toured me around was friendly, very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I got a real good feeling about the staff's competence, their knowledge of the facility, and explaining everything that they could do and couldn't. They also had nice gardens for the people to go outdoors when the weather's permitted.

The staff at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe greeted us right away, and they were so kind. They took us all throughout and gave us explanations for everything. They have three levels, the first floor is best for people like my mother where they get more care. The dining facility was beautiful and people seemed very happy there. In the courtyard, everything was just spectacular. I was very, very impressed with the facility and Lauren and Brooke. Everyone has been vaccinated including the staff, the patients, or clients, they wear masks, and they're always cleaning.

I like Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. I like the location. The people were very friendly. It wasn't as up-to-date, and it wasn't as clean. Everything was very old. Even their bunco cards were very old. But I loved everything that they had. I loved all the amenities they had at Brookdale. They take them to HEB one day and to Walmart one day, they have somebody that can take them to church, and they even have HEB come and do their groceries. I believe they only have the laundry service once a week, but they seem to have a lot of activities like Pilates and chair Zumba. I love that they have a real big open dining area. But it's very outdated. I love the area, the people were very nice, but it's very dated, so it looks old. As a person, you want to make sure that your loved one, if they're going in someplace, you want it clean and new. Even though the other facility isn't brand new, it looks brand new and it smells brand new to where Brookdale looks like it has not been redone in years. The tour experience was 5; she was very good, and she was very nice. She was very accommodating, and she answered all my questions.

The staff at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe was very accommodating, very friendly, kind of went out of their way to help my dad, especially that day. They even did a little assessment with him just to see what level of care he might need when he came in there, which was going a little out of their way. What I liked probably the least was their apartments were kind of small. They are a pet-friendly facility, but their apartments are not so much. My dad has a dog instead of a cat. They said everybody else there had cats, but we would have needed a place where he could like sit at the patio door and let the dogs go outside, and they didn't have that. Initially, they said it didn't look like he needed the additional services. It's kind of the independent care plus because he would have also gotten the meals, the laundry, and all that stuff. The staff members were just very, very friendly and very accommodating and took some extra time because I went after work one day, so they waited for me, so we could have a meeting. The only drawback was the size of the apartments, and to me, it wasn't necessarily dog friendly. It was clean. I had no complaints. It looked like they kept up with their housekeeping.

We went to Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe and saw their assisted living. I would say it's very good. We went into an office setting where they provided us with information like the cost and all that. Then we went on a tour. They had one or two rooms that were available. We were able to tour two of them. Then we went back to the office setting and discussed a little more. They allowed us and gave us time to think about all this. I really appreciate all that. Their service was very good. There were 2 different rooms that they showed us. One was like a studio and the other one was like a little apartment kind of setting. They both looked good and clean. With the openings that they had, I think it would have served my cousin very well. The staff was very nice. In fact, we walked out with some goodies from the cafeteria. I believe she was a supervisor, and she came out and gave us some goodies (homemade cookies). It was really nice, It was like a cherry-on-top kind of thing. Part of the paperwork discussed in the office was the activities. They presented us with the activities for the month. They also provided us with more or less a scale of the entire building. Through the tour, they showed us everything that is being provided as a service to each person that lives there. They showed us the outside area, where people can garden. They could also just sit out there in the sun. The outdoor scene was really nice. We were told that sometimes they get together for different little events that they have. They celebrate whatever occasion comes up, and there's a lot of personal services that they also provide. They have 24-hour care, laundry service, and all that stuff. It was really nice. If we could afford it, we would probably place my cousin there. We were told that they have special menus for special people that may have something going on within themselves. My cousin seemed to like the menu that was posted up there when we were going to tour the cafeteria. Everything is home-cooked, so it was really nice.

I didn't actually tour Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. I met with the administrator and she was very kind and very, very helpful. She gave me a description of all the services. It was a very good interaction and communication. My mother-in-law has a medical issue and even though they had a memory care unit, she didn't qualify for that level of care. We met in the administrator's office, and it was a very nice setting. When I walked in, the staff seemed very friendly. The administrator was very informative. Overall, I had a good experience, except my mother-in-law did not qualify for that level of care. The place was very nice. I thought it was very clean, neat, and looked very comfortable. They had a one-person bedroom and a bedroom with a roommate. They offer arts and crafts and exercising. The thing that I liked about what the director said was they can tailor some of the hobbies or activities to each person, so I thought that was very good. The grounds were well kept. It was a nice-looking building. It had a nice yard, and greenery, and shrubs. The exterior was very pretty, and the interior as well was very nice. I walked into the building and I went through the COVID check for safety. They took my temperature and I signed in. I felt very comfortable with being greeted. The administrator told me what their program was about, so it was a nice communication. I had a nice experience there.

The Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe community was fine, but in terms of the price, they were private and don't accept Medicare, so that was the issue. The accommodations were a little small, but very nice. They have different kinds of therapy like speech or PT.

My mother-in-law lived at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. It was worn, it was not as modern, and it was not as up-to-date. The staff members were not very good too. They were not that attentive. My mother-in-law was left on the toilet by herself. She had a stroke and fell and no one knew for quite a while what had happened. My mother-in-law watched movies, played bingo, and went shopping.

We signed up Dad for Brookdale. It's an older place, but it's clean, and smelled nice. They have three meals a day and snacks, laundry service, and housekeeping, at a price he can afford. The salesperson was very helpful and very good. They have transportation available to the grocery stores, outings, and doctors' appointments. They have a courtyard, but it needs to be spruced up.

I was very happy with Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. The staff was terrific. The rooms were fine but small. It was a clean, small community that was a little too quiet in the afternoon. They were not very active or lively but maybe it was just the time that I visited.

We had a really good visit at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. The staff person was very good and very helpful. They were our second choice. The rooms were small, but the dining facility and everything else seemed very nice. They had good game rooms, craft rooms, fireplaces, and a nice courtyard area. There weren’t a lot of people, though. For a facility that has been around for awhile, we were kind of concerned why we did not see a lot of people around in the common areas.

Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe is expensive. The semi-private rooms shared a bathroom, but they had their own separate little rooms for the bed. The place is larger, but you're paying $600 a month more, and the rooms are a little bit larger. It's a very good unit.

Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe had smaller apartments for older people, but my father’s level of care was higher. It seemed like a very positive, well staffed, clean, and organized place. The staff seemed to care about the residents. I liked them overall.

Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe, formerly Emeritus at Hamilton House, was very nice. I liked the floor plan better because they had their own room. It was small connected by a bathroom. I would've personally preferred that. The staff seemed very accommodating. They had a big nice dining area. I would recommend it.

Everything was very clean at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe (formerly Emeritus at Hamilton House). The staff was very professional. The interaction among the residents and the staff was top-notch. I did like their transportation, which easily flowed. The guests had activities to go to, and if they had medical appointments, transportation went smoothly. I didn't see anybody sitting around twiddling their fingers because things weren't going according to their schedule. The residents were taken care of well and considered so that they would feel at home.

Some of the places we visited, we saw no one around, but with Brookdale, when we walked in, we saw the residents out in programs like in the music room, in the dining room, or walking down the hall. There is just a warmer feeling to it. We are happy with it. We would recommend them to others. My mother-in-law has been there now for a couple of weeks, and we're really pleased with it with their programs. The people that take care of her, we're happy with them too. So, yes, we'll recommend them. We did try the food, and it was very good. They have a board there that has some menu on it every single day. Because my mother-in-law doesn't eat very well, I have asked them to give her Ensure, and they are giving her three a day.

I saw Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe (formerly Emeritus at Hamilton House), and the people I met were nice. The place itself was nice, but my parents wanted separate bedrooms. They would have separate rooms there, but my mom wouldn't be able to go in her room and shut her door. The apartment was nice with laminate floors and separate areas like three big rooms, and it was decent-sized. The staff was very friendly and informative and was asking about our interests. They showed us some rooms where they'll have use of the courtyard, or they might get a birdfeeder.

I currently live in this facility, but have never been pleased with it. The employee turnover is excessive, the food is marginal, and the new management regime is substandard. There are at least twenty other Brookdales in the area, and you are advised to scrutinize this one carefully.

We found a good facility. We put my mother-in-law in Brookdale, and we had to take her out within a week. She stopped eating and said that she was there to die, so we just brought her home. Everything was fine, but she would not adapt. The staff was good. They messed her meds up a few times but, overall, I think it was good, and I’m sure within a few more weeks, they would have figured that out.

My mother is already in an assisted living facility named Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. I like the people. They are very caring. The rooms are very clean and very adequate. It is the right size. I was very impressed with the quality of the food. As a matter of fact, I go eat regularly with my mother there. She gets the main entrée. The grounds are very clean, very well kept, and very well-manicured. They have a calendar with daily activities of different things and different outings. It is very well organized. I would recommend this facility to other friends and relatives.

Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe is a nice place. I had an interaction with the sales person, and she was very helpful and friendly as well. The rooms were very nice, bright, and cheery. It’s very clean as well. We walked through their dining room, and it seemed nice. They do have games, and I think they also have movie nights.

The staff at Emeritus was very, very helpful. They invited my family and my mother to the dining room on our tour there, and we ate there that day. My mother said the food is very good and they made her transition very easy. I was impressed. The room is just a studio, but it’s very spacious. They have exercises. They have bingo. They go shopping, and they take them on bus trips. They have like a happy hour on Fridays where all the residents get together and mingle with a glass of wine and stuff like that. One of the reasons we selected it was because it is very secure and safe. Their door is closed at 8 o’clock in the evening. At the same time during the day they’re open, but there’s always somebody at the receptionist office.

Emeritus was clean. This was the best Emeritus of the three that I looked at. It was very well-managed. The staff was excellent. I managed to schedule my tours around lunch time for a specific reason, and I explained it to all of them. I want to see what they are serving. I want to taste what they are serving because if I’m going to live there, I have to eat that. It is in northwest San Antonio near the medical facilities. I’m a veteran, and it’s close to the Veterans' Administration hospital here. To me, location is a factor.

The main reason why I chose Emeritus at Hamilton because I need two bedrooms for my mother and grandmother. They wanted to be together. To have 2 bedrooms in one room is difficult to find in assisted living. They have a very caring staff. The activities are good but my grandmother does not participate because she's 100 years old. My mother does play bingo there.

Hamilton House is a very nice facility. My experience during my visit was good. The staff was very polite and answered all my questions. They also shared information with us. The residents there were nice as well. They have very nice rooms. I was able to go into a room that was being used at that time. A lady there allowed us to come in and looked at it. Generally, it was a fine room and it seemed large enough. It also included a bathroom and a kitchen. During our visit, we also saw the residents eating and they seemed to like their food. I also remembered that they have a menu and that was nice.

My friend recommended this facility for me because it's a smaller facility. If I were going to pick a facility today it would be this one. I like that they have covered parking for those of us who have vehicles. And they also have a try out program where for $100 a day you can go in and stay for a week or two weeks. They furnish everything that you can use when you live there which is something that I really appreciate. Their rooms are spacious. They have sample rooms set up so you can see different ways to set up your closet and arrange furniture. One thing I didn't care for is that the chairs in the cafeteria have name tags on them, which means they would sit with the same people all the time. I would rather just go in and pick chairs and sit down, that way you can get to talk to more people and learn more about them. When I went there they sat with me at the dining room and gave me dessert and we chatted for awhile. I got to meet some members of the facility. I enjoyed the food. I saw the video room where they have the TV and they said that that's where we can schedule movies. They have an exercise room with exercise equipment. Everybody was friendly. I like the way people are allowed to decorate their doors and show a little bit of their personality.

We visited the Emeritus at Hamilton House while searching for a suitable assisted living facility for my brother's friend. Many of his family members live in the area, so this would be an ideal place for him to live. The outer grounds looked well-kept and pleasant. The staff greeted us and seemed very warm and friendly - which is very important to the family. The foyer was nicely decorated and seemed homey, as did all of the communal rooms, which were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors could easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. The library had great books and plenty of room to enjoy the peaceful environment. The residents may also reserve rooms for private parties. The many recreational activities include trips to visit the local and surrounding area cultural and entertainment hubs such as art galleries and museums, eateries and other cultural events, like fairs and festivals. The seniors may take exercise classes such as yoga and aerobics, or use the weight training and other equipment. They may also enjoy the outer walk ways around the building and courtyard. The residents are encouraged to enjoy physical activity as much as possible. The private living spaces were all clean, well-kept and conveniently designed. They take the time to personalize to each resident's tastes. There was a variety of types of food available - for example, meal choices ranged from a complete meals to snacks or lighter fare, for those who wanted it. Staff appeared to make every effort to ensure that the residents were both safe and comfortable. The seniors appeared to be very content in this living environment.

This is a beautiful facility inside and out. They serve good nutritious meals that are also tasty. I had my Dad in here for about a year and I only moved him because his care needs advanced. This is also a great place for an older couple to live a maintenance free existence and it helps the families to know all their needs are being met as well as someone is keeping an eye on them.
