This place is a bad joke! The staff can hardly speak English and they will tell you that they don't work for you. Horrible place that should be avoided at all costs.

This is a horrible place that everyone should avoid at all costs. It is run down and the rooms are dirty and covered in stains and have little privacy. It seems that the staff does the absolute bare minimum. My dad went in for four weeks. He came out at about 10% of his physical level as when he went in. The social worker there is incompetent and provides no help. They botched just about everything they were supposed to do. Please please please do not send your loved ones to this place.

There is not one good thing I can say about this Skilled Nursing facility. The nurse told my 89-y-o Mom to stop pushing the button and relax because she (the nurse) did not have tie to come down and talk to her. They denied her blankets when she was cold. They NEVER gave her the attention/help she needed and let her sleep in we diapers. When she was discharged they sent home an incorrect pharmacy packet with a scrip for the most important meds. Than God she had the heart procedure at St. Luke's because Herman Memorial Hospital associated with University place is just as incompetent.

My grandmother was at University Place Nursing Center for rehab. It was horrible. They would put him in the wheelchair and stick him in front of the nursing stations and they would just sit there. Whenever it was time to eat, they would roll them into a cafeteria and they would just leave them there. I would not refer anybody to them unless you want them to just basically be in pain somewhere nobody cares. The staff, the whole place, and the food were terrible from beginning to the end. They let her go saying that she didn't need any more rehab. My aunt took her home and when she took her out of the car, she fainted. The hospital told us that she was so dehydrated. They should get people who actually care about the residents.
