Heartis Arlington community is very nice, I was very impressed. It was too pricey for my dad's price range, but I knew that going in. I just wanted to see what the upper part of his price range would be. The staff who gave the tour was great. The apartments were nice, I especially like the 1-bedroom. The studio is also nice but small. It seems all very clean and nice. The dining area looked like a restaurant. I did not taste their food, but they looked like they had a really good menu. It's a pretty healthy menu and looked diverse.

I'm at Heartis Arlington. I haven't found anything I don't like at this point. It is a superb facility, it's lovely, it's spacious, it's clean. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The food is great. I'm very, very happy with it. The food tastes like home cooking. It's delicious, it's well seasoned. They have a beauty barber salon, a fitness center, they have bingo several times a week.

We moved into the Heartis Arlington. It is OK, but it is not like home. They are fine and they do pretty good. It is slow to get help. You push your button, and you wait for 30 minutes to maybe an hour. The food is most misleading; it will say one thing and then you can't figure out what it is or where they get it. For instance, if it says Italian Meatballs and Spaghetti, you don't get any red sauce, all you get is a meatball and dry spaghetti. We've had steak once in six months. The soups are always a mix of the veggies that you did not eat in a meal before. Usually most of the food is very tasteless, they don't cook it well enough. If you ask for a hamburger patty, it is not seared. The pork roast is not browned. It is very confusing. The apartment is clean, but has a terrible thermostat. My wife complains about the air blowing on her face. She has earaches at night and has to have somebody try to adjust the thermostat. It is very, very inadequate. The place is OK, it is fairly new. The appointments are very decent.

My mother has been living at Heartis, Arlington for nearly a year. She is living in the Memory Car Unit and suffers from Alzheimer's. It has taken her some time to settle in, but the staff has worked with her very patiently, and more and more we have noticed signs that she is feeling comfortable and at home. She is seen by her primary care physician and nurse practitioner on a weekly basis, and they have carefully adjusted her medication. We appreciate the many activities available to her, particularly the regular worship services. The community is clean and very well kept, and all the staff are friendly and patient with Mom and our family. We appreciate this community very much.

Heartis Arlington is immaculate. It's beautiful. The grounds and the rooms are beautiful, the amenities are very nice, and the people are very friendly. If ever mom needs more and more care, she can stay at the same facility. When she completely totally needs 100% memory care, they have a wing specifically for that and if she needs more assistance, they have another wing for that. It's close to her church and some of the people that she used to go to church with are there. The staff is wonderful, very polite, very attentive, and seems to be very happy. It's a relatively small facility. They have four or five things going every day. They had bingo when I was there, they have a big screen TV where they watch football, and they take them shopping once or twice a week. They've done anything I've asked them to do, and they've been very attentive to her needs. I've eaten there once and the food was delicious. It's pretty expensive.

I have been very pleased with Heartis Arlington. We've had some issues with them getting to know my mom and her getting to know them. The staff has been very receptive to feedback and I appreciate that. They have some music activities, Bingo, jewelry making, arts and crafts, and other entertainment. The great grandchildren went and played Bingo with her last week, so that was fun for her.
