About This Community
We are located on 5.5 acres of the Montgomery countryside. We have 3 separate houses on site with different levels of care. Each house offers the same services: assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and medication management to name a few. Meals are prepared and served according the resident's dietary needs. Snacks are available between meals. 24/7 care is given to each resident, in each house.

We toured Silver Hills. It was nice, but not as nice as the other place we visited. It was just common, whereas the other one was exquisite. It looked ordinary, but everything was provided for you. The staff who gave the tour was not as outgoing as the other girl, but she was quite nice. Their dining area was kind of laid back and was not anything fancy. They could improve on the general appearances on everything. They have a long way to go.

I liked everything about Silver Hills. I liked the location, the atmosphere, and the rooms. The only thing that I'm not 100% on is transportation, like doctor's appointments. The staff was great. They were very sweet, very caring, very informative, and very nice. They showed me the game room, the dining room, the living room, and the hair salon.

My mom moved into Silver Hills. It is an older place, but it's well kept and well maintained. It is not overcrowded. The staff members are very attentive. They eat meals together. They have an entertainment room with a TV, and I have seen people play cards. They have a front porch area. They pay attention to what's going on with the patients. They have a variety of meals. They cater to the individual's needs. My mom's food has to be pureed and spoon-fed to her, and they have been taking care of that as well.

I went over to Silver Hills in Montgomery assisted living. It's very nice, very inviting, and very welcoming so it's something that's at the very top of our list. If my father can afford it, we're going to put him in there.
It looks nice, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly. We also liked the layout of the whole place.
They were getting ready for lunch when we were there so we saw that. We saw a little hobby room where they were playing games and there was another open area where they were watching TV. Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves and was very friendly.
Everything looks good. I liked that they had the menu displayed daily. They also have a monthly calendar of what is going to be served with additional choices if they didn't want that so there were a lot of possibilities of what they can eat.

I like the arrangements of the Silver Hills facilities. The rooms were nice, and the amenities that they provide. I just felt like they were more caring, and they were very well-organized. They had printed brochures with their information on them that I could take home with me. And the staff seemed to be experienced and very caring for their patients. They had three buildings on the property with two of them being in use. The person who gave the tour was very informative, professional, and seemed to be interested in the needs that we were looking for. They offered some furnishings if you want to use some of what they had.

Silver Hills was nice but to me, it wouldn't suit my mom very well. She's an amputee and she needs help getting out of bed or going to the toilet from the bathroom. She also has a bunch of little knickknacks and there just isn't a lot of room in that place for them to put all that stuff.
The apartment to me is more of an open configuration. Looks to me like two or three rooms with a bathroom then it opens up to a generalized TV room or a generalized dining room. It's not like an individual apartment setup.
It's assisted living. All the other facilities I've looked at are located close to town and this place is kind of in a rural area. You're out in a compound, out in the national forest. It's still about 4 miles to the closest town.
The facility is a little outdated maybe, but I'm sure they serve their purpose. It's just so far out in the country itself. It's in the middle of nowhere. It seems to be clean and well-organized. It's just that it's a little different concept from what my mom is currently in. Where she'd been before and where she is now is more like an individual residential area or an apartment.
It looked to me like they had a pretty open concept. They had a TV room and a library room. They also have an area set up for a game room where they can play bingo on whatever day.

Silver Hills wasn't a bad place. It's just an older facility. The staff, Cheryl, was very nice. She was wonderful. I really liked her. She was probably the best thing about the place. The rooms were OK. The surroundings were nice. The environment was nice because it's out in the country. It's surrounded by houses and a farm. The area was really nice.
My uncle just would prefer a newer facility, but they're very nice. They don't have a lot of people there. My aunt needs a lot of care, and I'm worried that they wouldn't be able to handle care for her.
I went to the memory care facility, which they were renovating at the time. I also went to the regular facility. They had a small library area for the people and TV. It was after lunch, so I didn't get to see a lot of activities. Most of the residents were taking naps. I really liked Cheryl. If I was just basing it on Cheryl, I would probably put my uncle there. It is an older facility. It needs some work in some areas, but they're working on it. I did like the place.

I went to tour Silver Hills. They showed me their rooms and the kind of care that they have. I thought it was very nice. I think my husband would be very happy there. I'm just hoping we can get the kind of care that he needed. Right now, he is in Pasadena, and I have no way to get there, so this would be much more convenient and accessible. It is a country kind of presentation with the countryside rather than the city life. The staff who assisted me there was very good. She was very good and very knowledgeable. They have activities. They have a game room also. They offer puzzles, movies, and conversation tips. The rooms looked very neat and clean, and they were rather large. The overall condition of the place was very good.

Silver Hills was very dated and wasn't as nice as the other places, but it's also cheaper. It's just an older place, I didn't love it as much as the other ones we saw. The staff who assisted me did good, and I just kind of showed up without making an appointment, she handled that well. For the money, what they're asking is okay. It probably just needs to be updated. Since the place itself is in the middle of the country, the scenery around it is gorgeous.

I viewed several senior communities over the last few days, and I was not particularly pleased with Silver Hills. It was clearly an older community, with not too many patients. In other words, there were clearly times when you don't see people around as opposed to the other places with many residents that walk around and you can talk to and mingle with. This community was not that way. It's clearly an older community that has been there a long time, and it needs a lot of work in my opinion.

Silver Hills staff has been wonderful since day 1. Very kind and caring. Rooms and facilities are very clean and residents are well cared for. They do a great job communicating. I have great respect for these caretakers and all they do for my dad each day.

From the first day we took our loved one to Silver Hills, it was the most devastating day of mine and my Sister's life's. we were so overwhelmed with emotions and when we walked through that door, there stood an Angel named Angela D. Angie had the biggest smile on her face and reassured us our Mother would be well cared for. It was not easy the first 2-3 weeks, but Angie stayed in constant contact with us and even sent pictures of our Mother which helped sooooo much! Our Mother loves Angie so much and when Angie was moved to house 2 we were very sad. We miss that sweet Angel so much, but we still visit her and the residents at house 2, they are all so much like family to us. We love all the Caregivers at Silver Hills and know that our Mother is in a great place. Great job you all do with so much love, caring and compassion!

Silver Hills was good, and the rooms were pretty standard. The staff was great and knowledgeable. The price was a bit more, but the location was very convenient for me.

Silver Hills was an OK place, although I am not that old yet to go there. When I got there and looked at it, it looked like a nursing home and not assisted living. Their residents were in wheelchairs and not mobile. I would say that they need more activities going around there.

My grandfather went to Silver Hills, and it's excellent. They're very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very nice, they do allow for drop-ins, and they encourage that you don't make an appointment. I have eaten here, and the food was very good. They do all kinds of different activities -- ice cream things, craft projects, and games. They're very approachable and very hands-on. You can access the director very easily and find out how your loved one is doing. There are three different homes there, you can call the home directly where your loved one is in and speak with the manager on duty, and they'll give you an update, i.e., if he has showered, is he cooperating, is he eating, etc. He has been there for a short time, and so far we've had a very positive experience. They combine the 4th of July and Father's Day, so you can celebrate with your immediate family.

Mom is currently in Silver Hills. The activities and social interaction are precisely what she needed along with the daily supervision. She occasionally talks about returning to her home, but I think this is mostly out of confusion. The visits by family and friends in the course of a few weeks makes her happy and comfortable with the place even if her family is not always beside her.

I chose Silver Hills because it was so close to me. It's like 25 minutes away from my home. They also worked with me on the price and on what my mom could afford.
The staff is just great. They're just one big happy family over there and they're very caring people. I guess what I liked the best about it was the home that my mom was in. My mom used to get up at like 5:00 in the morning and go to an activity center thing. She had to spend like 6-8 hours over there, and then she would go back to the home that she was living in. But, in this place she doesn't have to do that! They do all kinds of activities over there. So that's why I really cared about that too.
I go over there 2 or 3 times a week so I know whats going on. I'm there a lot. My mom's doing real good and she seemed happier. She shares a room with 2 other women and she likes it. Yes, I would recommend this facility. Although the food is not the greatest but I hope that it's something they can improve on.

I have had my mother in Silver Hills for 3 years now. I have had her in 4 different facilites in the past. This one is a keeper. The staff is caring, the owners have a passion for the elderly. I do not know what the previous person meant by rusty holders.. I have never seen anything like that. really nise facilites

I have lived here for 5 years, this place is my home. I love it. The owners care more for me than my own family does. People that post negative comments, cannot be family of residents, because the care here is the best.
