My Mother in Law is currently living at the Madisonville Care Center Nursing Home. The staff are all wonderful and very caring. April Fox helped me tremendously in figuring out how to navigate the entire process. The rooms are spacious, clean and closets are very large. The staff answers any questions that I have and they keep my updated on anything going on with my Mother in Law. My Mother in Law is very happy here.

My great aunt had to have a knee replacement 3 months ago and, since she doesn't have any children, I basically help her with her medical decisions. Since we both knew that after she was discharged from the hospital she would need some therapy, she and I looked at various nursing homes in the area that provided Medicare services. The week before she was scheduled to have her surgery, I called and arranged a tour at Madisonville Care Center. The person I talked to that set up the appointment was very nice and actually answered so many questions I had about how the whole "Medicare for therapy" pay system works and we also set up a tour for the next day. When my aunt and I arrived to the nursing home we were greeted by the person I had spoke to on the phone. She had a wheelchair there so my aunt wouldnt be worn out from the walking around. Sarah took us all around the nursing home, introduced us to alot of the nurses, some of the housekeeping staff and the kitchen staff. Everyone was very polite and nice and took the time to make us feel at home. After the tour we went to Sarahs office and she went through everything with us and encourages us to ask anything we wanted. The therapy department staff then met with us and went over what the normal schedule was when it came to rehab. They evaluated my aunt right there so they would have an idea at where she was pre-surgery. My aunt decided she wanted to go there for her therapy and we went ahead and did all the required paperwork and then we went to the local store and got some stuff for her room and got it all ready for the day she would be admitted. Three days after her surgery she was transferred to the nursing home and they started working her that first day. Their plan is to get the patient up and about as soon as possible to they can get home where they want to be as soon as they can. I went every day to visit my aunt and I saw her actually progress very rapidly to her pr-esurgery abilities. The therapy department was wonderful and encouraged my aunt. They were fantastic. The other departments at the home were just as great! The nurses were prompt and very thorough. The supportive staff helped my aunt do her daily care stuff until she was able to do it all herself again. My aunts doctor was very impressed with her progress, the care and the attention to detail and I can say because of how wonderful everyone was ny aunt was able to go home 3 days earlier than planned. I also have to talk about the food. It was amazing - flavorful and home cooked - not just some heated up mass produced. There wasnt one person at Madisonville Care Center that wasnt just fabulous. They were friendly, professional, and courteous. The place and the service there was above and beyond anything we ever expected. Since shes been home she has continued to make moe and more progress. I know I havent mentioned it before now but we had looked at 2 other facilities in the area and they came no where near the superb care my aunt got at Madisonville Care Center. I would not have any hesitation in taking my aunt there again, even if it was for permanent care. They were great and more places that provide direct care should taken notes from them on how to run a nursing home.

My friends at Madisonville Care Center show dedication to every one who enters the door. They have alot of southern hospitality. Every holiday or special occasion ther have parties for all of the residents. I've attended and they're super fun. They have live djs and fruits and juice and snacks . One of my favorite things about it there is the cleanliness. I've never seen a cob web on the wall and the restrooms are cleaner than any restaurant or gas station I've visited. These are just some of the very friendly things i have to say about madisonville care center
