My mother was at Nesbit for 4 days before we could get her moved. We found out that she never even was given a shower. Administrator did everything he could to keep her from being transferred to another facility. A disgrace that the almighty dollar means more than patient care or preference. I feel her rehabilitation took a step backwards in that short period of time. If you love someone and want them to get better, don’t leave them at this awful place.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the worse Administrative Staff in the world. The person who handles payment and insurance filing is rude and unwilling to listen to what anyone says. The beginning of our conversation was how horrible the patient's insurance was and no matter what his wife said or should I say tried to say, she was either interrupted, talked over, ignored or told she was wrong. The Administrator was no help at all and the liaison person between the nursing home and insurance was useless. When a family get to the point where they need to put a loved one in a nursing facility the very least they should be able to expect is respect. It was horrible from the get go. My Friend, whose husband was placed in the facility, was afraid to say much because she thought it might influence how her husband was treated. Just sad and certainly not how a customer should be treated in such a difficult situation.

Staff were friendly and the community was clean and there were no odors. The residents looked content and well taken care of.

Worst experience ever. It's a surprise that all their residents aren't dead yet. They knew days in advance that my mother in law was to be transferred over and was even told hours in advance the exact time she would arrive. When we get her checked in, her room wasn't ready. The TV wasn't plugged in and set up. She had nothing to do but stare at the wall. And her bathroom looked and smelled like it hasn't been cleaned in 3 weeks and the toilet didn't even flush right. All her medications were set up prior to arrival, but when it came time to take them, they said she wasn't approved. And the next morning she still didn't get her 6:00am or even breakfast till 9:30. Their excuse was “we didn't know you were here” Needless to say, we signed her out AMA. Unless you want your to die in a hurry, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

My great-grandmother is 88 years old and lives at Nesbit Living & Recovery Center in Seguin, Texas. She was transferred there about a year ago to be closer to her relatives, after living in a facility in Houston for several months. She receives excellent treatment at Nesbit LRC; every time we visit, she is very happy and appears well-cared-for. She tells us all about the different activities that are always going on for senior citizens, and has made many friends there. She especially likes the beauty salon down the hall, where she often goes to have her hair cut and styled. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, and cheerful, and the facility is always clean. They even have a dog and a couple of cats that live at the facility for the residents' enjoyment; my great-grandmother loves animals, so she really appreciates the opportunity to pet and interact with them. The staff are great about keeping track of her medications and making sure she gets regular checkups from her physician, plus they're just down the street from the hospital, in case of any emergencies. Going there is always a pleasant experience, and it's great to know that my great-grandmother is in such good hands.
