My dad was in Carillon Senior Living for rehab. They handled my dad's situation very well. He was just in there for two weeks for rehab. They provided his medicine, took care of him, and bathed him every other day. They were in there constantly keeping an eye on him amongst COVID, and he was quarantined with the others. He didn't have Covid; but because he came from outside, he had to be quarantined for two weeks. He did good there, and they took care of him. It was very nice and clean.

Carillon LifeCare Community was nice. I was very impressed with the facilities. There seem to be a lot of activities and they seem to have it very well mapped out. They have a wide range of different accommodations and I viewed less than 10 of the apartments that they had available. The gentleman who helped me was Joe and he was wonderful and answered all my questions. I was there for their Fourth of July celebration and got to witness the people enjoying that, and I just thoroughly enjoyed it. They took my information and then came back to me, later on, to let me know what I could or could not afford to live there, but I liked it. They have an indoor pool and all kinds of amenities. Some of the places have washers and dryers in the apartments, but all of the floors have a washer and dryer, so that if you do not have washers and dryers, you can utilize theirs. I found that it was indeed quiet too. When I was looking at different apartments, I really could not hear people in the other apartment. It was really nice, but of course, like all of them it's not cheap. However, once you are accepted into the community, you stay there for life if you want to, regardless of your financial situation. I didn't taste the food but it smelt good. There was a room where there were several tables of ladies playing bridge and I got to meet some of them. In the elevators, they have bulletin boards where they tell you about what's going on, and then there's activities within the community itself. In fact later on, Joe invited me to come back on Friday evening for Happy Hour. It was my birthday weekend, so I didn't go. It's just very clean and very spacious, and everything seemed very modern to me. It is a very large community and the grounds were well kept and everything was clean.

My dad is living in Carillon House for skilled nursing. I like the fact that they've been able to respond to his medical needs. He's been in the hospital several times while living there, and they get him in and out. They put him back in skilled nursing so I didn't have to move him again. They have a lot of staff members with years of experience, and it shows. There's one staff member who has been doing this kind of work for people with dementia for 18 years, so we're talking about nurses with 30 years experience. Their activities director is really good, so I'm really pleased. The staff really attends to the people who live there. I haven't eaten there, but the food looks and smells good, and my dad likes it. He's kind of picky. He wouldn't eat in the hospital, but when he got back to Carillon he ate like a pig. He generally eats well there. The place is really clean. Sometimes you can tell that they're really short on staff and things happen, so they can't always get to everything immediately. In terms of activities, they're just really good. They're really expensive, but it's OK.

Carillon Life Care Community was a five-star place with a waiting list. It did not look like it was going to be available except for people coming in for independent living. The assisted living facility was very small. They gave priority to people there in the independent living. It had a church, a swimming pool and amenities, but they had very little access for the people in the assisted living community. If you needed independent living and you were ready to buy into it, then that would be a good place.

They have individual apartments, and you actually buy the apartment, which are more costly. Carillon is not as new of a facility, although it's lovely. I've been over to a couple of apartments, and they were large. They can knock out walls and combine two apartments if you needed more room. The staff is great. It has that connotation of being for people that has lots of money and no longer want to keep a large home, so they'll sell their home or donate. They have an exercise room that's full of equipments. They have different folks that would come in and work with someone that was having an issue or problem, and they have a trainer that's there on-staff. They go the extra mile to things like that. You can just go in and walk on the treadmill if you want. I would see staff walking some of the more elderly down the hall or to the dining facility.

Carillon Senior LifeCare Community was excellent. It looked like a hotel inside. I was very impressed. It was very clean and very nice. Three residents opened their rooms for me to come and look in, and they were very nice. They had a gym and a heated swimming pool. They also had housekeeping and laundry services. They serve three meals a day. They had transportation to scheduled doctor appointments.

My father was admitted to Carillon in September as he'd been diagnosed with cancer and needed a high level of care. We chose Carillon because of their reputation in the community. Everyone at Carillon was very friendly, caring and professional. The staff was supportive of us as a family as well as kind and gentle when caring for my father. The facilities are nice and the campus is pretty. They have a couple of restaurants so we didn't have to leave the facility to get something to eat. The residents we encountered all seemed to be happy and well taken care of. The only thing I didn't like is that they allow smoking right outside of the front entrance. I guess this is because it's hard for older people to go very far to smoke, but it does mean that you have to pass it in order to enter the building. Overall, our experience at Carillon was a good one and I would chose it again if we ever needed to place a loved one in an assisted-living facility.

The carillon nursing home facility would get my recommendation to anyone, it is a very clean and well kept community. The garden and yard areas were very pretty and provided a nice change of scenery for the residents to visit, giving them a quiet place outside of their room. The staff was top notch and on almost every occasion provided a pleasant visiting experience for bot me and my family members. My grandfather also never had any complaints towards the staff. There was only one employee who rubbed us the wrong way and after a request we no longer had any dealings with him.. there are plenty of lobbies or private gathering rooms that can fit up to probably about twenty or so people at a time, the most we ever visited with was about fifteen and we we very comfortable. This facility provided a comfortable way to help my grandfather with hiss remaining time while also making life much easier on his wife and our entire family. It allowed easy visiting as well ( I went about once a week for almost a year) to keep your family or friends that are residents at the facility in your life as much as possible for their remaining time. Carillon was a great choice for our family, and was for the most part affordable. I would rate it at four stars instead of five only because the food wasn't mind blowing. Not that it was bad... just not particularly good.

The facility was very clean and organized. The staff seemed very nice and really familiar with the needs of the residents there. The pool area was nice, the dining area was sufficient enough to handle the volume of people there. The housekeeping staff seemed to be doing their job very well because the place was spotless. I really liked the fact that they didn't make their residence participate in group activities but allowed them to do their own thing during the day. That way if my aunt wanted to spend time by herself or decide to go to the pool she would be able to do so as she pleased to a certain extent. One of the really big issues I was having with my aunt was her trying to cook and clean by herself. The fact that they offered all meals, house keeping took care of the facility and they offered the laundry service almost sold me. The leasing options they had did not fit into my budget so unfortunately I had to go another route. There's nothing negative to say about this place at all, had I had the money for her to become a residence I would have.

Our Mimi was there two Christmas's ago. She was brought there because she needed constant supervision. Although her stay was not long we had the best experience with the staff through such a hard time. They were very caring and compassionate and did all that they could to ensure that her last days were good. They were genuinely concerned for her and our family and were touched when she passed. This to me showed the heart of those that work there and they demonstrated that what they do is more than just a job. I would recommend them to anyone simply from the care and attention we saw with our loved one. The facility was also clean and very well kept. It was easily accessible and accomidating. The staff was educated as well as caring. They knew what they were doing and made the process easier for us so that we could focus on what needed to be done rather than technicalities. It was not a personally great experience to remember but with what was going on it was a great place to be.
