We went to Orchard Park of Kyle. They're very outgoing, and very informative. They tell you things that you're thinking about. It's an older one. It's not as new as some of them, but the people are just delightful. They just bend over backward to make you feel like you're home, and so I was very impressed with that. I saw the menus, they look good, and they all say the food is good, but we never ate there. They have all kinds of games. They have bingo.

Our tour experience with Orchard Park of Kyle was good. The place was clean and they seemed to have activities, so it seemed nice. The salesperson was really pushy, but other than that it was good. There was only one room available and we went to look at it. It was clean, large, it was really nice, and had a walk-in closet. It was more like an apartment type of room. They had outings, movie nights, and they were playing bingo when I was there. I saw a game room and a theater room that they use for movies. It's nice how some of the rooms have doors that open into the patio area.

Orchard Park was very expensive. It looked nice, and it seemed clean. The living area was very small. They did have activities. They have a cafeteria and they offer food. The menu looked good. I didn't meet many of their staff members, but the ones that I did meet were very nice and very friendly. Everything was OK, but the cost was a whole lot higher.

Orchard Park of Kyle's is located near a huge apartment complex so that wasn't very appealing. However, the place itself was lovely, well-kept, organized, and clean. While the apartment where my parents would be is clean and nicely decorated, it's kind of cramped because the bedroom and living room spaces are small. Even some of their community rooms felt small, but the staff was amazing, and everyone was super nice and polite. The location is also convenient for us personally, so I would recommend them. We even surprise-visited them on a Sunday, but they were very kind, thoughtful, and really accommodating.

My mother-in-law moved into the assisted living of Orchard Park of Kyle. I think they're really good. The staff is patient, caring, and they go the extra mile. Her apartment is nice with a small kitchen and living room, a huge bedroom, and a bath. They have art classes sometimes, and she also enjoys going to the choir.

Orchard Park of Kyle is very nice and has a homey feeling. We love it. The staff members are very good with my mother. They're awesome. My mom is actually improving more than she was in the rehab facility. She is doing very well and really likes this place. They keep her bedding and laundry clean, and bring it back to her in a prompt fashion. They also check on her. She is getting physical therapy through a home health organization that comes in. She is doing awesome.

The only thing we didn’t about Orchard is that they didn’t have the secured entrance like the other places did. The doors are open freely. We didn’t have any passes. It looks like a holiday inn -- it looks industrial. It didn’t look like a home. The staff was very accommodating, and they welcomed us at the door. The lady called a couple of times before to make sure we had the right directions and if there was accommodations mom needed to get from the car to the building. She has just received her walker that time, so we were trying to getting her used to that. The rooms were a little bit smaller than the other two, but the bathroom was a shared situation and what if mom got confused in the bathroom and went to the wrong room.

The Orchard Park opened a couple of weeks ago. However, when I visited it, it was just getting ready to open. They were just putting the rooms together, and the residents hadn't moved in yet. Nevertheless, it was very nice and brand new. The staff was very professional and helpful.
