The Reserve at Katy is a very caring place. I haven't got to know a lot of the staff yet, but they'll take care of your family's needs right away, and they're pretty reasonably priced. The rooms are very spacious. They are accommodating to my dad's diet and they have a lot of activities at the facility. It's appealing from the outside and from the inside. Everybody dines together in the dining hall and everybody's very friendly. My parents have actually made some friends with the table that they sit next to.

My mother has moved into The Reserve at Katy. It's a beautiful community. The staff is very friendly, very nice, and welcoming. The administration is very helpful. The meals have been nice for my mother. They have excursions or outings. During the week, they have activities. My mother does a lot of art projects. They have games, and it's helping her. I noticed that her conversation is lightening up from her previous cognitive state. Her cognition is improving. I like the fact that she is playing games and different things, such as bingo. She draws and paints. I love the fact that she has things to do on a daily basis. She has new friends there, and she's friends with staff members. They're very friendly to her. They go out to restaurants and different things. My mother's room is spacious and clean. They listen to what the resident needs. I had asked the maintenance person to come in and help me with a couple of things. Maintenance is very helpful. When we had any type of issues, they were resolved. They got on it immediately. They pay attention to the needs of the client and the family members. Overall, I like their care to detail and attention to different things. So far, so good. They have a library, a beauty salon, and a little library at the front. They have memory care there, and they have an activity center. They're about to get ready to get a rehab center going. They have my mother doing activities and participating, and she's really excited about it. She loves the art part, and she loves the games. I'm happy for my mom. I thank God, and my mother is happy. She's not feeling like we made a mistake. She is so far enjoying herself.

My husband is at The Reserve at Katy. I liked it when I first walked in because it was beautiful and everybody was friendly and it was big and open. I was attracted to just the way it looked. It didn't look like a hospital with long halls and small rooms. It's shaped in an "8" pattern, so all of the halls are curved which makes it seem less like a hospital. They had nine-floor plans to choose from, which was more than I ever had in any place else. I was impressed with all that. The staff is very friendly and very helpful and eager to do whatever you need them to do. I haven't tried the food. He has only said one time he didn't like one meal and that he didn't like the meat, but he hasn't said anything negative about the food besides that. There's an activities director and they have an activity room where things are going on all the time. They also have a library where the residents can go and sit and read. There are shelves of books. They also have a movie theater where they can go and sit, watch a movie, and eat popcorn. There is a lot of stuff available for them to do. Because it's shaped like an "8," there's one courtyard in each circle, so there are two big open courtyards with benches and walking paths. Everything was great about it. I had looked at so many and because my husband has Parkinson's, he is mentally present but physically needs a level 4 care because he can't do anything for himself. There was no other facility that offered level 4 care in the assisted living area where there are still things going on and activities. Everyone else said he would have to go to memory care and I wanted him to be in assisted living so that he could participate in other things even though physically he can't or he needs help. This is the only place I found where you can get level 4 care in assisted living and that's what I wanted. It was a big plus. They can get that kind of care and still be part of an assisted living community that has activities and stuff.

I recently took a tour at this facility and I was extremely impressed. The staff was amazing. The staff was courteous, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great home.

It has been excellent, and they've done a great job taking care of my husband. The staff is wonderful and do a good job. The service is good and I'm really pleased with them.

I thought that the people there are very friendly and helpful, and they seem very caring. They wanted to get my dad involved right away, and the staff is very gracious to the residents. While we were moving him in they served us lunch. I like the wide open spaces as you enter. It has two courtyards, and it's bright, and very nice. They have activities for the residents, he played bingo yesterday, they have bible studies every week, and they take them on trips to the store or other places they need to go. The bus has a wheelchair lift, and they came and picked him up from his other community and transferred him. The staff members were all very friendly, helpful, and encouraging. They seem very caring and they interact well with the residents. They served us lunch and my father liked it; he also likes their supper. The place looks clean and bright, I didn't detect and odors when I was there.

It was a good and clean environment. They had a library and an exercise room. The bedrooms were pretty straight forward, just a bed and bath.

The facility and dining room were nice. They offered lots of services to the residents. The staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. The neighborhood was nice and near my home. They gave us a pie when we left.
