My tour of Clarewood House Senior Community was very informative. The staff who gave me the tour was very professional and very helpful. He tried to see how he could work out any problems that I had. He was excellent. He was very nice. He answered all my questions.
He showed me one of the apartments. He explained that they didn't have any vacancies at that time. He put my name on the list and said he would get in contact with me when they have something. He even made a suggestion on how I could work out something with the security deposit. The apartment was very nice, very clean, and well laid out.
They had everything that I need. The dining area was clean and very well laid out, too. We didn't go into the activities and amenities.

We toured Clarewood House Senior Community and it was a very nice place. The people were very nice and my mom seemed to really like it, too. They had an outside area for residents to get out, walk around, and enjoy. The community areas were very nice as well. They had a hair salon that you could use, group travels to the grocery store, and different clubs (like gardening clubs, if they're interested in participating).
The building was older, but it was still very well-kept and clean. There was plenty of space. It looks like a small studio apartment, which was just what my mother was needing. The only issue I had was that when we filled out an application, they took a very long time to get back with us.

I toured Clarewood House Senior Community. It's nice and it has all of the amenities that you would want in a home. The only thing about that was the price; my brother definitely could not afford it. But it was nice. It had the strength training room or the weight room, and it had the beauty shop and the barbershop. The rooms are about the same. They're a nice size. They have a living area, a small dining area and a little kitchen. The person who gave me the tour was very good. They knew the layout of the place, so they showed us whatever they had.

Clarewood House was older, more affordable, and a large community, kind of in not the best location. It's in Houston over in the Sharpstown area. The facilities haven't been updated. There were some spacious rooms, but the ceilings were kind of lower. It kind of felt more like a motel with smaller windows. They jumped into what size room we wanted, and they didn't ask about my mother.
The staff was nice, relatable, and young. I don't feel like she was a salesperson. She wasn't as polished; I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. I felt like she was doing her job, but she wasn't trying to sell me on it. It had a darker mood because the facility was a lot older and not updated.

Clarewood House seems great, and everybody seems really nice. I'm very happy with them. My mother is in independent living. The dining room is very nice. So far, everybody's been very helpful and great. It also seems like there's plenty to do.

My parents-in-law were in Clarewood House, which was very nice. We really liked this facility. They had many levels of care, which worked out because that way they could segway from one to the other. Their room was perfectly nice and had a one-bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen with a non-working stove. One of the problems was they almost burned down their house because of their illness (Alzheimer's), so it's good that they did not have the stove working there. All of the meals were supplied, and the food was good. My father-in-law owned a restaurant before he became ill, and he was pleased with the food. Several times, my mother-in-law got out and escaped, and that is the only reason why I wouldn’t give it a 5. Other than that, everything was just fine. They had a lot of different programs. They brought in dogs to pet, had arts and craft, and a choir. They were all caring people who went out of their way to make sure everything was OK. I found that they were very intuitive about what needed to be done to help them as well.

Clarewood House would be a very nice place. I think they had six or seven different room plans, but they’re all too small to even turn around in. They had a very special program, and everything is done well. I know 10 people who are living there, and they speak highly of it and like it a lot. The common areas were very nice, and I liked the common areas just fine. I know the place, and like the people and the way it’s run. The food is excellent. I don’t like the location because is too far from where I’m familiar. It was the only thing that I didn’t like about it. I actually like it, but it’s just not in a good place for me.

Clarewood House is faith-based through the Methodist Church, which was one thing I liked personally. They had a chapel, and we go to the church. The staff and rooms seemed OK. The atmosphere was fine. It seemed like they had a lot of activities, like people playing cards and a jewelry sale.

Mom is at Clarewood House. Their amenities are quite good. I am not 100% satisfied with their medication dispensement because they have misplaced medications before.

My mother has been in Clarewood House since May of 2006. We heard of this community by word of mouth. It has been there for about 15 years. The staff treated my mother fine. The food and dining facility are good. I have no complaints. They have movies, bingo, and a workout facility. They have exercise by video every day. They have a library and a beauty shop. They have a chapel and a full time chaplain. They have a bus driver when they go to the grocery store. They have game day and snacks on the porch. They even have couple's night. The room she has is about 600 square feet. When we first moved there, she thought the room was too small; now it is too big. It depends on your need. They have two bedrooms, one bedroom, and studio rooms in Independent Living and Assisted Living. They have a dining room on the 4th floor which is all assisted living. They have a doctor that comes in on Tuesdays. They have an extended care, and the people that lived there are prioritized on the list. The facility is top of the line and the most reasonably priced.

We had mom at Clarewood House. The staff are excellent. Everyone is very kind and friendly. It has been a very positive experience. Mom is in a studio that has a kitchenette, and I feel like you really got good value for the money. It is recently updated as well. I haven't eaten there, but mom says the food is fine, and she likes it. Their dining room is restaurant style with napkins and four people to a table. They have a lot of stuff. They have an activities room where they play bingo and Wii bowling. They also have a cooking class.
