The need for long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation may not occur under ideal circumstances. A fall, stroke, or brief illness can deprive us of our customary feeling of independence and security.

My dad is at Bridgecrest Rehabilitation Suites for skilled nursing. It's good. They're very careful with him. They provide rehab, laundry, and meals. Because my dad can't get out of bed, they're also offering bed bath, bed care, and oxygen. Sometimes we have trouble at night because one staff member is covering everybody. Other than that, the staff members are very good. They're very thorough, very attentive, and very knowledgeable. They can explain things that we have questions about. Currently, my dad is still bedbound so he is not able to go to some of their activities. However, I do know that they have games and activities every day. Like today, they have singers who come in and sing for them.
