The Park at Bay Area is a good place for mom. They are very caring and involved. They more or less let them have their independence as much as possible. They have a good activity director, very good food, and good housekeepers. They keep it really clean. The bathrooms are accessible for the residents. A lot of the people that live there have dementia or Alzheimer's, and it is a pretty secure place.
They have an activities director. They have activities here and there, but my mother doesn't like to go. Occasionally, she will, but she's way past enjoying herself right now. Her room is just a small, motel room type thing. It doesn't have a stove. She has her own refrigerator, and she couldn't cook anyway. They have a memory care section, but she's not in that section. Price-wise, it's kind of comparable to every other place around there.

The Park At Bay Area was one of the top places for me. They might need to have a few more employees, but other than that, it was very nice. I toured both assisted living and memory care and it was very well maintained and clean. It smelled fresh and the staff was very welcoming. The lady who gave the tour was very, very nice and was very helpful in explaining everything. The rooms were very spacious and very well maintained. They had just finished activities when I got there and I saw some of their paintings and different things that they had done. Their dining area was very pleasant and inviting, too.

My friend moved into The Park At Bay Area last month. It's excellent. The staff takes care of my friend. Upkeep and maintenance are excellent. It's an open layout. The rooms were excellent, open, clean, and well taken care of.

I toured The Park At Bay Area for my parents, and it was awesome. The lady who gave me the tour was named Melissa. She was very friendly and professional, and she gave me a good tour. She explained to me everything about how things works there. The room looked suitable, clean, all new, and fresh. The location is ideal for relatives to visit.

The Park at Bay Area was expensive, but it's new. They only had ten residents, so they had everybody locked down in the memory side of it. He would not have been allowed to go out even in the courtyard by himself and I did not want him to feel that restricted. The whole atmosphere seemed very cold to me. It didn't seem like a homey type environment. It seemed almost more medical, especially with them having everybody locked down on the memory care side right now. I was not impressed with that.
They only took us on the assisted living. They could open the door, but you didn't really get to see a lot. Everything's locked down. Everything's socially distanced with the dining rooms and all that. This is a bad time to be doing this. The nurse who accommodated me was nice, friendly, and very forthcoming. They're looking to hire staff, which was a little concerning to me too. I didn't get a good homey feeling there. It felt more like a medical nursing home type facility to me.

I toured this facility for a friend.
I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff.
The facility was very well laid out for handicapped accessibility for the residents.
The food was excellent.
My friend did choose to become a resident and she states it is excellent.
She feels she is getting excellent care there and the staff is wonderful.
And most of all she loves the Activity Director
