Brookdale Henderson was an older community, but it was very clean, and very open. The staff there was probably the most helpful that I have met. The dining area was very clean and very nice. They have a physical therapy room and a small exercise room. The director went out of her way to help me with whatever I needed. The outside center court area was very nice, very well put together, and very pet friendly. It seems like a really good place for those who want to go outside.

I know Emeritus is top of the line. The tour was great. They don't have the type of security with some long-term care, like skilled nursing. The staff is very professional. Just a great facility. Just high class.

Emeritus at Henderson used to be Kingsley Place. My wife was there for a year, I was there at 2 different times – 6 months and 3 months. This is a one story building. The environment and the dining area was good. They had a good chef. She managed the whole thing and she was really sweet to me. If I have a complaint, she’d come out and talk to me about it. They had bingo, memory games, exercise and all other things.
My wife had Alzheimer’s so I put her here. I was in one part and she was in the other part. They kept an eye on her, they called me anytime and I was there in minutes to see her. She couldn’t get out if I’m not with her. It worked out well. The staff was wonderful. They didn’t really care for her as they should. I had to change her pants and bathe her. I did a lot of things they should have done that’s why I left after a year. Then, they started to give her a bath every day, they take very good care of her until she died.
