My dad is here. He's been in memory care for three months now. The facility itself is nice looking and way better than his house. As far as the care, I haven't heard of any incidents that have happened, other than when it got so cold the fire sprinklers froze. They sent a note that they were aware of it and that nobody will be cold. I'm sure they did what they had to do, and I appreciate them letting us know. The staff is excellent, and they seem on the ball. They're also very friendly in whatever it is that they're doing, be it talking to a patient or another employee. He's in a shared room, but the other room it's attached to is where they actually store some furniture. So many people left their furniture there because they couldn't come back and get it that they've just put all that in the room. When I was there, I noticed that they had a table filled with soil, and they could do their gardening there if they wanted. They have outdoor and indoor games that would keep the residents busy. I did not really pay a whole lot of attention to that because he is not very sociable, but they have those. For some reason, I thought the gardening thing was something he might try. I hadn't seen anything like that before; it was new for me.
