My dad moved into MacArthur Hills. The facility is very nice. The staff members are wonderful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. They have handicap-type facilities with a shower and a sink, and all that in the restroom. They have a kitchenette with a refrigerator. The food is very good. The dining area is nice with tablecloths. It is spacious, and the residents seem to enjoy it. They have a lot of activities they do offer. They have a gym. They have exercises and swimming within the facility. They take them on excursions, maybe out to eat or to Kroger once a week. Other than the usual bingo and domino, they have different things going on all the time. The upkeep was excellent and very good.

My parents are presently staying at MacArthur Hills Senior Living, and it's a nice place. It's large and has very good staff and really nice amenities. My parents are getting lost because it is so large. The negative for us was that because my father uses a wheelchair, he has to go up and down an elevator. We've decided we're looking for a one-story facility.
My parents are not really happy because of the elevator situation and the distance from my home. Everyone I've met seems really good. My parents really liked the food, and I thought it was OK.
It is a beautiful facility. They have a lot of activities. Because it's so large, my parents haven't really done too much. They have a swimming pool and a Sundae Sunday (every Sunday), which my parents love. My parents also go to bingo.
It is pretty pricey.

MacArthur Hills Senior Living is a beautiful facility. It had a lot of amenities that seniors would love. The rooms were really nice, spacious, and very well equipped. They have a swimming pool, an exercise room, a beautiful dining area for the residents, a theater room, a library, sections set up for puzzles and arts, a nice patio where they can go outside, a television room, and open areas on different floors. When I was there, the staff members were playing ball with the residents for stimulation. They have independent living bungalows attached to that property and a memory care section. It's an excellent facility, but pretty costly. If it wasn't for the cost, we would definitely use that as a facility for our mom. It's convenient and the family can come and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with their parent or loved one in the dining area. The menus were really good and they had a good chef. The staff was very welcoming and showed us the whole facility, even though we came unannounced. The building was in excellent condition.

My father was here for respite while I was on an extended vacation. They treated him very well. He enjoyed all the activities and the social aspects of talking with people. In fact, he enjoyed it so much that he has requested to move there permanently.

This is more for active seniors. They have art center, puzzles set up, tv in lounge area, pool table, library, phyisical activities and a pool. We stayed for lunch it was portion perfectly and everything tasted very good. They have nurses that would assist if needed but you have to pay extra for that. Very nice that would be in my top places to live.

My mother in law passed away in June, but we put her in MacArthur Hills. She was only there five days, but it was actually a nice place; we would highly recommend it. The staff was all wonderful -- even the administrator was always there checking on us and on her. Everyone who was involved with was very caring. The place was really nice, pretty, and clean.

My mother has been in MacArthur Hills Senior Living for almost a month now. I was very impressed with it. It's a fairly new complex, a little over a year old. Everyone is so friendly, so helpful, and they made my mom feel very welcome. She is enjoying the food which is good, and she's making new friends. It's really a great place. Everything is very nice. It's like a restaurant type dining facility with waitresses that come and take your order. They have a specific thing they make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day; but you can also order off of their all-day dining menu, i.e., cheeseburgers, BLT, salad. The complex is not full; so it makes it nice for our mom to go in, and just sit wherever she wants to eat. Her room is very nice. It's a studio; but we arranged the furniture, and it's wonderful. It has the kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, she has her microwave, and her coffee pot; which are about all she needs. They have a movie theater. They play movies in there with a popcorn machine. They have a library with lots of books, and a pool table. They have places where they have speakers, people that come in, and play music for them. They have bingo, outings, and transportation to places within ten miles of the facility, indoor heated swimming pool, a weight room, and aerobics classes. She has a lot to keep her busy. We're very happy there. They also have a Jacuzzi tub; which is in their spa area, and she is welcome to go down there to use it.

The sales coordinator at MacArthur Hills was very impressive. He gave me a complete tour. What I love best about it is it was divided where your dementia people were a the floor by themselves. It was separate, and I think that is a lot healthier.

My friend is now at MacArthur Hills, and what they've settled in was a duplex, two-bedroom, two-bath. It has a lovely kitchen, and they have a one-car garage. They have one meal provided a day.
