I went to Brookdale Pecan Park. It was well done. The cafeteria was nice. They have a pretty good variety of menu choices. The staff seemed very friendly, the people that we saw were one of the directors, very knowledgeable. You could tell that they had a rapport with the guests there, and they communicated with other staff very well. In the short time, we were there, we didn't have a whole lot of time to observe too much interaction with staff, there were a couple of interactions and they handled it very nicely, and were able to address the issues of the other staff member and take care of it quickly. So that was nice. We were looking for independent living and assisted care, but the assisted care was cool, my mother's gonna love that. It's been there a while, but it's not run down. I wish the pricing was a little bit lower.

I really liked Brookdale Pecan Park. It was very clean and it was really pretty and nice, and the staff seemed really good. You know, they were a really good staff, and friendly. The rooms were nice. They were kept clean. Sometimes when you go to a nursing home, it has that weird smell. It didn't have any of that. It was a very clean and pretty facility. It's definitely one of my favorites. They have three separate buildings, and that was a little bit of a concern because Mother was going to start in building one because she has a little bit of dementia, but when it gets really bad they were going to move her to building three. Each move is really hard on someone with dementia.

We toured Brookdale Pecan Park. It was real nice. They took time with us and asked questions about mom's situation. They seemed to be helpful with giving us knowledge to try to pick a right place for her. They had a sample menu, so we looked at that. It seemed to be good. The room seemed to be real nice. It was a smaller environment and had secured doorways. It all seemed to be nice.

Brookdale Pecan Park seemed nice and didn't have a smell. The staff who helped me was great, very understanding, and familiar with everything I asked her. The dining area looked fine. The place was clean and nice.

My father has been in Brookdale Pecan Park and it has been good. One of the positives is that the staff members have been there a long time. The executive director and the head nurse have been there six or seven years, and that's kind of hard to find. Also, they have given him a very personalized care experience. He's very moody and they tend to accommodate him. They are creative in how they handle his moods as his dementia gets worse. I see them doing exercises, listening to music, engaging them with the music, having discussions about memory, and just trying to keep them out in the community rather than dwelling in their room. The only trouble he has had has been with laundry items going missing. This is his fourth Brookdale facility including a rehab and they have kept track of him facility wide. Even people from his rehab that transferred to Pecan Park remember him, engage with him, and remember things about him.

I went to Brookdale; it's excellent, and I was very impressed. The location was excellent, as I was looking for something in Arlington. The rooms were excellent, and I'm very impressed with it. The people who worked there were very lovely, and they're very nice. I liked everything about it.

Brookdale Pecan turned my husband down. This facility was really nice. I will rate them high even when they refused to take my husband in. They had gourmet food, a nice dining room, and nice, single rooms. They had lots of activities. The landscaping was also nice. The staff seemed really nice and friendly when we were there. The pricing was a little above standard. They only thing they can improve on is probably the qualifications to get people in there.

I did like Brookdale Pecan Park (formerly Broadway Plaza Pecan Park). When I went in there, they had singing, wine tasting, and cheese. I talked to a nice lady named Amy, and the rooms she showed me were really nice. If I were to put my mother in a facility, I would choose this out of all the ones I visited. I liked the way it was run, and the people were very nice and friendly. She showed me a room that they set up in case people don't have furniture because you're supposed to bring your own furniture. It was really nice, beautiful, spacious, very clean, and smelled really good.

I thought Brookdale Pecan Park was an excellent choice, and I didn't find any problems with it; with the exception that it would get very expensive for my father-in-law with his particular needs. He is a great tall man and wheelchair bound, and he would need to have assistance. I think that it is going to be difficult for them to provide what he needed. Other than that, the facility was wonderful.

I met with the staff person at Brookdale Pecan Park. I had a tour of their memory center and their main facility. She was very helpful as far as giving me information about the facility, and she even showed me a couple of different rooms. I was impressed with the place. It was well kept. They had a TV room and a game room where they can play games like bingo. The dining area was really nice.

My father has been a resident for 14 months now. I can't say enough positive things about this facility and its staff. The staff genuinely care for my dad and the other residents. They are attentive; they get to know their individual residents so that they notice when something seems "off." They call me with any concerns, keep me updated about dad's care, and respond promptly to my questions or concerns. My dad enjoys it there, has made friends, feels comfortable, and recently chose to stay there instead of moving closer to us. His room is clean and the facility does not have that unpleasant smell that we have encountered in some similar facilities. They have 2 buildings, each with about 40 residents; each building has its own dining hall. (I have never visited the memory care building.) They have a van that takes residents to appointments, shopping (usually at a nearby Wal-Mart, or out to eat (they have a bimonthly lunch group). They do have some activities like Bingo, etc; I sometimes think that it would be nice if they increased the variety of activities they offered. They allow residents to have pets, which I think is a fantastic benefit. I think my dad likes the fact that the building is not too large, and he has gotten to know the other residents better because of the smaller population size. He is in the main building that houses the staff offices, and perhaps this has allowed him to get to know the staff better, I don't know; but they love him and he seems very happy there. I'm grateful to them for the good care they are giving him, and I would recommend this facility to anyone.

We had a fine visit at Broadway Plaza at Pecan Park. The lady who assisted us was very nice and gave us a great tour. We like her. Broadway Plaza at Pecan Park was a great place. Actually, it was our second choice. We like it very much but it was not secure and we decided our Mom needed to be in memory care in a secure place. They did have a memory care wing but I didn't care for that particularly building as well; however, we really like their main two buildings.

My father has already moved into Broadway Plaza at Pecan Park. It's great there. It is a very nice and clean facility. They keep it very well. I picked it because of its location. It was right in between my house and work, so it was most convenient. Also, it has a facility dealing with Alzheimer's patients and that was something that is really important to me. My father has been there now for going on two-and-a-half months and he loves it there. We're really satisfied with it too. Their residents are really good. Their staff from the administration and the aides are also equally good.

While driving through the Texas region, we decided to stop in and visit Broadway Plaza at Pecan Park since we were looking for an assisted living facility where my brother's friend might live.
We were impressed that they could accommodate our last-minute visit. The area is convenient for the family. The main area seemed clean and well tended.
The staff was very nice and seemed to treat the residents kindly - some of whom were not ambulatory. They seem to be able to accommodate most senior circumstances with a variety of living options available.
We really liked the little park area outside, which was close to the main door. We also thought it looked as though the staff could easily manage all of the residents, which is important.
The rooms we saw were all nicely decorated. The exercise room seemed well designed and maintained.
They had a very nice book selection, which is important to my brother's friend. There were a variety of the typical activities that assisted living facilities usually have - plus many others. The staff takes the time to add to the events and activities to keep things interesting.
The food looked well-prepared and appetizing and the dining room furniture was very nice. We also liked the decor.
The facility looked like a nice place to live - and we would recommend that anyone looking for a place for their loved one check it out.

When my great aunt stopped taking phone calls I was asked to come check on her at this facility. While the facility itself seemed nice, I would never ever recommend anybody leave a family member there. The staff is completely incompetent. We asked where my great aunt was, and they didn't know. We had to manually walk around and find her name on a door. When we finally got them to open the door, the room was empty - devoid of furniture and my great aunt. I asked where she was, and they had no answer for me. They had no record of her checking out or moving anywhere, and they had no record of any medical emergency, but she wasn't there. It took two weeks to find her - she was staying with one of her sons. They should have known that she left, but they had no idea. Do not leave your relatives here: they will be forgotten.
