Varco Hospice is a family owned and operated hospice. We have been around since 2017, and our team has a combined experience in hospice and palliative care of more than 150 years. Our team is built up of medical directors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, aids, and therapists that are hospice specialists. Our philosophy is to provide both medical and personalized care to our patients with a focus is on providing the best possible quality of life for each one of our patients and their families.

Our primary service area is Houston, TX and surrounding cities. Other contiguous areas are served on request. We are licensed by the state of Texas for hospice, certified by the federal Medicare program, and have received national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, demonstrating our commitment to meeting and exceeding the highest national standards for quality. We understand that this is an extremely challenging time. We are the accountable, flexible, and reliable partner, during this time of need, for our patients and their families.

Our services include:

In-Home Hospice Care - Our team provides hospice care, medication management, nursing, and aide visits, to give the patient the best possible quality of life while being able to remain in their home surrounded by their loved ones. Our team knows life-limiting diseases can cause physical and mental fatigue. Thus, we come with a purpose-driven plan of care to bring relief to patients and families.

Facility Hospice Care – We also serve patients in assisted livings, personal care home, memory care, independent living and group homes

We Honor Veterans - Our veterans are our pride and joy; therefore, we go above and beyond to take extra special care of them as they once took care of us.

All Equipment (DME)- We provide all DME equipment needed for the patients to stay comfortably in there home or wherever they call home. This may include but, not limited to, electric hospital beds, wheelchair, bed side potty chairs, walkers, bed side tables and more depending on the needs of our patients.

Medications Management: -We cover all the medication cost associated to the primary diagnosis and all pain and symptom management.

Supplies Program- We provide our patients with incontinence supplies and wound care supplies needed to care for our patients.

Nursing Care – our patients are seen weekly by our nurses to help prevent re-hospitalizations and catch issues as they arise.

Aide Support – Our aides see our patients 1-3 times a week to help with ADLs

Chaplain and Grief Support – Our chaplain sees our patients monthly and provides support to both the patient and the family. With our 13-month Bereavement program our team follows the patients’ loved ones, post passing to enable closure and help process the loss.

Social Worker Support- Our social workers are experienced in many areas and provide a wealth of knowledge on end-of-life planning, community resources, placement, and much more.
