The rooms are nice. No bugs. That's very important to me. I am lucky I have a shower in my bathroom. I need it because I am oxygen dependent. 4.5 of oxygen at all times. They have great tasting snacks and tasting meals and desserts. They gave me gift basket my first day here. That was really cool. It had a little bit of everything you need in it. Mid morning everyday Patsy comes a around with cart and you can choose orange juice or coffee or hot chocolate. I love that and I look forward to it everyday. Nothing but good vibes here and positivity. I love that. It's really important to me and all the people here. Everyone is so kind nice sweet compassionate understanding helpful and thoughtful all the staff.

Cottonwood Creek Healthcare Community in Richardson makes me feel as if I was home. It makes me feel love, safe, secure, and appreciated. The care is excellent, I have lived here for almost 2 years. The Activities Department has gone all out during these circumstances. The staff is very helpful and supportive during the Pandemic of the Coronavirus. They have not had a case of the Coronavirus this far, they have made sure that we remains safe and free of Covid-19. While other nursing homes have positive cases. Cottonwood Creek does NOT have any positive cases. I have made close friends here and they feel relaxed and love and this is our home. It is a great homelike feeling. I like how we can enjoy the outside outings with home made Barbeque. The staff and residents are friendly and loving. I like how I have hot coffee ready in the morning. The staff goes Above and Beyond of the call of duty. I do not want to leave here. Everyone is attentive to my needs. I HIGHLY recommends this place.

Don't bring your family members here if you want atleast for your family member to eat! Some of the management are very rude! They are very poorly staffed when it comes to aides especially, every other week someone quits because of the unprofessional environment and the amount of work the nurses and aides are required to do from what the employees have expressed. My family member has fell multiple times since they've been here. They have bugs and roaches as well and it causes everyone to complain. If I could give them a negative 2 stars I would. I tried to speak w/ Alan for a week straight but he takes vacation all the time so nothing yet! Management get your crap together!

I placed my father at The Gardens of Richardson, my father almost bled to death, and they were very negligent. The staff was not accommodating, they left my dad bleeding for 4 days, and he had to go to surgery. I wouldn’t send my dog there.

Do not use this facility for your loved one. They have already changed their name. My mother died from blood poison of a bedsore because their care was inadequate. She was eventually transferred to another facility because of this. As a witness, when the bell was rung for someone to lift her into a wheelchair to go the bathroom, the wait could be 30 minutes or never. I would have to search for an attendant to assist. When I would walk down the hall and someone from a room saw me, they would yell for me to help them. Each day I came to visit my mother, I had to search for her laundry and clothes, because they never returned the laundry to the correct room. One day, my mother did not have any clothes, because they had been given to other residents. I could go on and on about the care my mother did not receive. And, I might add, it was the management who must take most of the blame. I did not have power of attorney to move my mother to another nursing home. So, please do not place your loved one in this place.

Caring, knowledgeable staff, nice quiet setting with numerous garden-like courtyards as well. Perfect place for my mom.

The Gardens of Richardson is a loving, caring place to be. They have assisted care and nursing home care. The CNAs are wonderful, the chefs keep the menu steady and tasty! They have "Happy Hour" every Friday at 3:00 pm with musical artists - often sing-a-longs. The atmosphere is great and everyone is completely understalning and helpful!

My 92 yr-old mother has been a resident of this facility for over 3 years. She spent one year on the Assisted Living floor and then, as her dementia progressed and her $$ diminished, with the support and assistance of The Gardens staff, we moved her upstairs to the nursing home as a medicaid patient.
Mother is fortunate in that she has three children who share in her care and between us, someone checks in on her daily. Our experience at The Gardens has been as good as can be expected at a nursing home in this price range.
The administrative staff and activities staff are concerned and caring and all have worked with us wonderfully during mother's residency here. Her status as a medicaid patient has made no difference in the quality of her care or her room.
The Certified Nursing Aides staffing suffers from the usual nursing home turnover - sometimes more stable than at other times. Generally, they provide sufficient care and some are more caring and attentive than others. From what we have learned from other caregivers whose family member has stayed in other facilities, this is a common problem at most of them.
All in all, we are quite pleased with The Gardens of Richardson and consider ourselves quite lucky to have found it for Mother in the very beginning of her illness and she has been able to remain in a stable environment as she has continued to dissolve into the more severe level of dementia.
