We were looking at the assisted living at Truewood by Merrill, River Park. The person who met us was very helpful and gave us lots of information. The assisted living care was very nice and very pleasant. The people there were very good. The rooms are more spacious. The place overall was in a nice area. We liked what we saw. The staff gave us the calendar for the month, and they have lots of things to do. The meal plans are good.

My husband will be moving into Courtyards at River Park. We chose it because of the marketing director and the price. I was very impressed. I met the director of nurses and she came into the meeting and talked to me about things that will be done for my husband. We stayed and ate, and the meal was quite good. The cost is just outrageous, but it's less expensive than some of the other places we looked at. Based on the visit, everyone was very friendly. They took us to the cafeteria. It's a little old, but they're keeping it up. They had a dining area, activity areas, and a lounge area. It's located by large streets that are thoroughfares that get you from one side of the city to the other. It's very centrally located.

We found Courtyards at River Park for my sister. They are amazing. It's gorgeous. It's very well kept, and it was more like an apartment complex. Mario, the director, was amazing. The price was way less than the other one and had way more amenities. It's beautiful brick, tons of courtyards, and total maintenance. The staff was amazing. They had arts and crafts. They had a 24-hour doctor.
There was no extra fees. For example: if my sister wanted to eat her meals in the room, there was not an extra fee to have it brought to her. The staff promoted all of the amenities for her to use at no extra charge. For example: they had tree trimmers out there. Mind you, this is all brick. It looks like a higher class apartment complex. They had the entrance on a coded gate and plenty of parking. They've got linen service. There were ceiling fans; in fact, there were two ceiling fans in the unit that we got for her already installed. She controls her own temperature, and they would even furnish it for her if need be.
She is very safe and would be very taken care of. He went out of his way to make sure the unit that she wanted was available and gave her the choice of free month rent or the deposit. The admin fee was almost nothing. Even after 30 days if she's not happy there, they'll give a full refund.

The location of Courtyards at River Park was very nice. I was impressed with the staff and the way it was set up. I was also impressed with their menu. If I was staying there, I could enjoy their meals.

My mom moved into Courtyards at River Park two weeks ago. She's in assisted living. So far, it's been pretty good. I've been pleased with it. The place is very well taken care of, and everything's very nice. The staff has been really helpful and good. She hasn't done any activities just yet because they're just getting her settled in and getting her medication adjusted. I also think they don't have quite enough activities. They don't have as many as a lot of the other places have.

Courtyards at River Park was really nice. It's just that the other place was closer to the house. The rooms were spacious, and it's a nice facility. The one staff I dealt with was fine. She was friendly and helpful, trying to get us what we needed to see. There is some good scenery when they're out taking their walks around the facility. They're right there next to the river, and I can see it being relaxing.

I was accommodated very well at Courtyards at River Park. The lady was very nice. It is an older apartment building. It has been renovated for that purpose, so the outside of it is not terribly wonderful, but the inside is very nice. They have activities for the guests like bingo and shopping. Nevertheless, they need to improve on the outward appearance of the building. It is very rustic looking and so I'm not really interested. The staff who assisted me was very nice. The dining room was very nice, too.

I did not like Courtyards at River Park. The place smelled bad, and I didn't like the dining area. It smelled like wet carpet, and the lady talking to me didn't feel like she wanted to. I didn't like it at all. I was not happy. They have a salon, and they have a room where you can visit with your family, and a room where everybody can come and watch a movie together.

The only thing I didn't like about Courtyards at River Park was they had pedestal sinks in their bathrooms, so there wasn't any room to tuck stuff away, like toothbrush or hairbrush. The place appeared to be light and big, but not too modern nor expensive. I got more of a nursing home feel there. The location was kind of excluded, so I wasn't sure if my mother-in-law could make her way around. The staff was very helpful and wonderful though.

Unfortunately, my rating of this place has fallen. Residents are encouraged to be in the dining hall at 4:30 for their 5:00 meal. There are NO activities after this meal and residents go to their rooms and wait for help with bathing, changing to pajamas, and meds. Of course, this may be because (from my untrained observation) a good percentage of residents either need to be in full nursing care or memory care. There is such frequent turnover, from management down to caregivers, that you never know who is in charge. The nurse in charge an LVN. Although most caregivers are genuinely loving and would like to develop relationships with residents, they seem scared, as if they will be immediately terminated if they are seen in a resident's room for any reason other than to provide a service. Wow. It would seem residents are isolated and lonely and would appreciate a short visit. The two stars are because the campus is lovely and well kept - except for a few instances of peeling paint.

We will be moving to Courtyards at River Park. We chose it because the people were friendly. They had something going on at least four hours a day, an exercise room, games, and if you would want to participate, they would take you to places. The staff even made home visits for the evaluations. Every time we went there during meal time, we ate. They showed us various kinds of rooms.

The staff at Courtyards at River Park checks on my mother often and are friendly and encouraging. The person who brought us in really knew what he was talking about. He was one of the main reasons I chose the place. The staff knows their residents. There is a place on one the floors where they have three different exercise equipment and a beauty salon. The people seem friendly. Mom's room has a regular-size refrigerator, a sink, cabinets, a bathroom, and two closets.

My parents are in Courtyards at River Park. The staff is excellent. They were very helpful, very caring, and considerate of the difficulty in placing parents in a situation like that. They make it very easy and very pleasant. The overall experience is just terrific. The information that they provide to help me to know what to do and how to go about it stands out. Not only do they provide information about the living place itself, but they provide me information in addition to that so we know exactly what to do and how to do it. They make the transition into this place easy, smooth, and very pleasant.

Everything was fine at the Courtyards. It was clean, and I didn’t see any dirt. I liked the rooms, and the staff was fine. The only thing that concerned me was that they didn't have a full kitchen, although the dining area was fine.

We liked that Courtyards at River Park was a multilevel facility branching from senior living all the way up to the memory care. It seemed to be very friendly and homelike in its setting. It offered my father opportunities to get outside to get away from everybody and still be in nature. My kids were impressed with the staff and how they interacted with people. They have a nice dining area. They also offered opportunities for individuals to decide how much hands-on care is needed. They can go from full independence to memory care. At this point, my loved one drives himself, and he's totally independent.

So pleased we found The Courtyards at River Park for my mom. My brother that lives in town had visited and toured with Jay Brown and loved it. I came in town and took our mother to visit and tour. The moment we drove in she liked the grounds, looks like a park and very clean. We also met with Jay B. and toured. Could not have been more helpful and friendly, the entire staff was great. We moved our mom in a few months ago. She seems very happy. They have done everything they promised and more. Every time my mom calls or we call they take the calls, never have had to leave messages and wait for answers. The staff from management on down has been absolutely incredible. The food delivered to room or in eating area has been very good also. If you have not found a place for a family member take a look at The Courtyards you will not be disappointed.

I like the way Courtyards is laid out. They are laid out like a nursing home; they actually have actual apartments that you can go out. They have full kitchens in the apartment. They are huge and less expensive than what you are getting with beautiful areas. It stands by the river and golf course. It’s got a lot of trees and winding paths; it's very nice. The food is really good. Basically you order from the table off the menu, and they come around and take your order. They have a bunch of activities going on, and they have different levels of services and different levels of care. They have people that do need more nursing homes. They have transportation, cards, and dominos, and they organize events like baseball games, museums, and other different things around town. Everything I saw was good, and they cover everything.

Mother is now at The Courtyards. She has been there for two years now. It is a very nice facility. It is clean. It is decorated nicely. There are different levels of care. There are some apartments, and my mother is actually in a separate room. She is in the assisted living. When we first had her there, there couldn't have been anything negative I could have said about the management. As for the staff, like the caregivers, the receptionists and the type of people that are hired are wonderful. However, the director and two people under her are unprofessional. However, I can manage them, and Mother is very happy there. She doesn't have to deal with them. With regards to service, for the price, Mother gets to take one errand trip a week, which is wonderful, and then they go on a shopping trip. They really do a lot of stuff. She doesn't participate in much, but they do have a happy hour, movies, and they do crafts. She does the line dancing though. They have an exercise facility. The dining area is very nice. What they could improve on is for the management to be more open to the residents' concern and the family or loved ones' concerns and suggestions.

I visited The Courtyards. Their apartments were the nicest ones we looked at. It had a sitting area, a bedroom, one bath and a shower. The dining area was nice and clean. We tasted the food and it was good. The whole place was nice because it had a place for assisted living, independent living and memory care, so they had a lot of options. The staff was good. They lady who I talked to was very friendly.

We visited Courtyards. It has a good facility, and it seemed to be well staffed. When I stepped in, I saw that it was very nice. The staff was very good. The food is good. My mother-in-law has a bedroom with a living room and a small kitchen. They had different activities, like chi, exercises, and places that they go. They have something every day that she can go and do.

I had a thorough tour at the Courtyards River Park. The food was delicious. They have an indoor pool, a fitness room, more or less everything that a person would want. I think they can provide everything I could want. It was a fine experience. I thought it was a good environment.

We visited The Courtyards at River Park. It was for my wife. We like that it was small and quiet. It was a very nice place. They have very nice rooms. I was also impressed with the staff. They were very nice and very friendly. Their residents seemed to be very happy. Some of the places that we have been, people didn't seem very happy. This place seemed to have a very good atmosphere. It seemed like everything there was very good.

After looking at several senior care facilities in west Fort Worth, our family decided that The Courtyards at River Park was the best fit for my elderly grandmother. We were struck by how well cared-for the building and grounds are, the variety of services available onsite, the dedication of the staff and the multitude of housing options available for residents. The building is located in a beautiful area near the Trinity River and is tucked into a glen rich with live oaks and other trees. There appears to be plenty of parking and the landscaping around the property is attractive and well-maintained. When you walk into the assisted living building (which is where my grandmother now resides), you can see the reception desk to the right which is always staffed and the dining room in the center. The owners paid a lot of attention to details in the decor and the result is a warm, welcoming space that is tastefully decorated during holidays and always looks clean and neat.My grandmother's apartment is small but has everything that she needs. She brought many things from her previous home and she has really made the space her own. The effect is similar to the condo she lived in before relocating to The Courtyards. Guests personalize their space and the living areas in no way resemble cold, impersonal rental units. There is a large window in my grandmother's apartment which allows plenty of light to illuminate the interior and give her enough light to be able to see well. The lovely staff has made sure that her every request is met or suggests solutions for any problems that arise. One of the best things about The Courtyards is the calendar of upcoming events that every resident is given a copy of. There are so many things going on at any given time that I doubt residents could ever get bored. From bingo to tai chi, there is something for everyone. My grandmother's favorite thing is to get her hair done downstairs in the onsite salon. She has also been getting regular manicures. The Courtyards really cares about the physical health of its residents. There was an outdoor pool but they are closing that to build an indoor pool which will probably be more comfortable for residents. In addition, exercise classes are held daily to keep senior's limbs, joints and hearts healthy. The food is nutritious but tasty and guests sit at individual tables with the company of their close friends.Residents can also take advantage of the shuttle service that drives to various shopping and cultural centers. There are movies to watch, card and board games to play or residents can just socialize together in the dining room.We are so happy to have found The Courtyards for my grandmother and really enjoy visiting here there. It is never depressing and my grandmother's neighbors greet us with hearty hellos as we enter. Granny seems very content and doesn't miss her old condo at all. We trust the staff (there is very little turn-over) and owners (two very nice couples) to provide the best care for our loved one and look forward to years of cooperation in helping my grandmother live her life fully and happily.

My parents live at The Courtyards at River Park and it is really a wonderful place. They have lived there for over 5 years and have really loved every minute of it. The staff is so attentive and caring and the buildings are beautiful. We chose The Courtyards because of the warm feeling that we got when we toured and also because they have different levels of care. My parents started off in retirement living and now they are living together in assisted living. It is really nice to be able to keep them together and on property and the staff works with you so well to help you and they help your parents get adjusted. I would definately recommend the courtyards to anyone who is looking to place a loved one.

We visited Courtyards at River Park assisted living facility as an option for our aunt. The outer building looked very well kept. The inside foyer was very nicely decorated with very comfortable furnishings.
The outer grounds offered really nice access for the residents, where have host many fun barbeques, private parties and picnics. Residents also can enjoy the outdoors with minimal supervision.
All indoor rooms were very fresh with plenty of air, light and nice furniture. All of the rooms were decorated in a soothing and comfortable fashion.
This facility has many nice extra perks, such as massage therapy, whirlpools and a mini-market right on site. We know our aunt would really appreciate having such immediate access to those particular things.
The communal rooms were all decorated well with comfortable furniture. The seniors enjoy socializing, games, crafts, singing and other interesting activities. Residents have plenty of space to watch films, read and use computers, make crafts and garden. There were various ambulation levels present "“ all of which the staff handled well.
The private living spaces featured beautiful bay windows and nice private patios and
WiFi Internet. Each unit was fresh, airy and peaceful, with a calming, color-coordinated décor and comfortable furnishings.
Seniors can exercise in the workout facility and go for long walks outside safely. They also offer yoga and aerobics classes and offer DVDs to use anytime They visit local galleries and museums, eateries and participate in local cultural events.
The library had great books and plenty of room to enjoy the peaceful environment. They may also reserve rooms for private parties.
The food looked and smelled delicious. The menus had many nutritious and healthy, yet interesting food options for all dietary needs. Good, healthy snacks are offered throughout the day, and whenever requested.
This facility's seniors looked content and very well cared for by competent and kind staff.
