I walked in and interrupted an assistant girl saying “ew ew ew” to my elderly father while he was in bed. The assistants go in and out of peoples rooms with absolutely no knocking or respect of privacy. I do not recommend this place for anyone.

My mom has moved into Sunrise of Fort Worth. So far, it's good. It's what's expected. It's difficult in a way given the fact that my mom has just lost her husband that she'd been married to for 65 years. Her adjustment is a challenge, but I think it is more so because of that than anything else. The living space is nice. The staff has been very nice for the most part. The food has been excellent. The overall level of the place is great. The facility is clean and cheerful. It's a very good size and it's not huge, which I think is critically important, especially when you get to the point where you need assisted living. Being in a very large facility can be very daunting and very overwhelming. For her, it's very close to going out to the dining room, which is a big plus. Overall, it's great. They have activities. They have movies, games, and knitting activities. At Christmas time, they had the Texas Boys Choir come in and sing. They have a lot of really nice activities; it is just that she is not in the mental state to engage with them yet.
It is not cheap, but I think overall it's worth it. As a higher-end facility, I would say it's worth it. I have peace of mind that my mom is in a safe place, that she is in a good place, and that she is well looked after. I know they have memory care and I'm glad they have it. That's one of the reasons we chose to go in that direction. The bigger decision that we went in that direction was the overall presence we got from the place and even more compelling than that was the apartment that she would be in and its proximity to everything else.

Sunrise of Fort Worth is excellent, except the food. The food is terrible here, and I've tried to do something about it, but it doesn't work. But I would give an A+ on everything else around here. The entire staff is good, the facility is nice. I've gotten sick from the food several times, which is the reason I'm having to leave. I'm allergic to sugar-free products and I've had four experiences of that here. But other than that, Sunrise is an excellent facility with really good care and everything. The food needs improvement. The staff is excellent, all of them, the nurses, everyone. The price is a little higher than some, but it's worth it. We've been kind of limited lately, but we do activities.

The experience at Sunrise of Fort Worth was very positive. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They seem to be very professional. They gave me a good tour of the facility and I was really impressed. The atmosphere was warm and everybody there made you feel welcome. I even talked to the couple of the residents and they were very pleased, felt really comfortable talking about the place, and had good things to say. They were getting ready for lunch when I was there and everything looked good. They really seem to have it together. What stood out to me was the cleanliness and the adequate room space.

Sunrise of Fort Worth is a beautiful facility. The first part of it is an assisted living facility and the second part is the memory care. They have various categories of pricing and private rooms, but you bring your own furniture. It's a great facility, nice and clean, and the people were just great. However, it would not serve my needs. It's assisted living and memory care, but their Alzheimer's patients were walking around. My wife is an Alzheimer's patient, but she is bedridden. This place wouldn't do me any good, plus it would cost me $7,500. As I walked through the memory care, the staff was interacting with the residents. One staff member had a resident outside and he was stepping on the curb and off again, doing therapy. It didn't take me long to figure out that this is no place for my wife. You couldn't ask for finer, more courteous, intelligent people than the staff that I saw, as well as the management that entertained me there.

We decided to move in my mother-in-law at Sunrise Senior Living, but she got sick, so she didn’t get the chance to move in. The room was very clean and spacious, and we were really impressed.

My mom was already at Sunrise of Fort Worth, and I decided to just leave her there because they have a better Reminiscence area for Dementia. It is almost like a one to four or one to three ratios of workers to people for better care. The dining area is clean. I have eaten there a couple of times, and I would rate the food as OK to maybe good but not great. They have a better understanding of the Dementia part of it. They don't try to make everybody be stuck, and they are more of a guide or a counselor. The techs that works there are extremely friendly, and so the care provided there is friendly and courteous. They are not forcing things. A lot of times, the people that have Dementia are basically told what and how to do stuff. Like yesterday I was there, they were with one of the workers, and they were painting on glass plates. They have activities for them, and they are just patient with them.

Sunrise is bad. They are short of staff, and the management is absolutely terrible. I would not recommend this facility.

I would have chosen Sunrise, but it was more expensive. The staff is very friendly. The rooms were a little bit smaller, but the atmosphere and the environment was more inviting than the others that I saw. So we would have liked dad to have been there. But it just didn't work out.

I visited Sunrise of Fort Worth and I was so impressed with the warmth and hospitality. The Executive Director gave us a tour of the facility and she gave us valued information for my loved one. I felt so welcomed. I know that this facility will be a safe home for my sweet parents.
