Sahara Home Health provides the nursing and physical therapy for my father. The nurses have been very helpful and if I have any questions they have answered them. They're doing pretty good. However, yesterday, they called my mom and said, "We're on our way to your home to terminate services." No one had told us that they were going to do that. The nurse said that they didn't have any more orders for services. I feel that if you know that the order is coming up for termination, you should inform the family ahead of time so we could contact the doctor to renew services or give us time to do that, but they didn't do that. We were very upset with that part of it. We told the PCP about it, and he was like, "How can they terminate services?" We just ordered labs and everything. We weren't pleased with that, but we're trying to work through that today.
The services that they've provided to my dad have been good. However, if they see that the orders are about to expire, they should review your information and let the family know that the orders are getting ready to expire so they can take the appropriate action.
The staff has been very friendly and accommodating to my dad and his needs. I'm pleased with them coming out to the home and the services they provide. We probably have to get reinstated because yesterday they terminated everything. We're in the process of getting that back.
