I toured Christian Care Communities & Services - Mesquite. They only have very few assisted living apartments. It was a very nice place. The community was awesome. The staff who assisted me was extremely nice. Everybody was extremely friendly and nice from the maid to the cook. I liked the director that we spoke with. She took her time. She was very thorough in explaining how everything worked and what to expect. They would provide 3 meals a day, they would do the laundry, change the linens, wash the linens and bring it back to my sister-in-law. They were decorating Christmas trees while I was there. The activities looked awesome. They had bingo and a lot of other activities that would have been very good for my sister-in-law to get involved in. While we were there, the residents were watching a movie and they had a popcorn machine, so they were eating popcorn. They had arts and crafts. The residents made their own stockings, which I thought was kind of cool. It looked like they had activities going on every day. They said if she needed any type of rehab, that was there just right next door. I was very impressed with it. Their common areas were very nice. They had a very nice main dining room where they had all 3 meals. I have only good things to say about it. When we went into the dining room, it was not completely cleaned with fresh linens and everything like that. But the staff said they do that at night before breakfast the next morning. The rooms were great. They had walk-in showers that had a seat already in it that had bars. They had a call button near the bed and one in the bathroom. They also had the residents wear a pendant with a push button if they need assistance for any reason, they just push that button.

My late father-in-law was at Christian Care. It was friendly, clean, and very adequate for him. The dining area was good. It's in a nice convenient location. It's close to a church nearby and you can see the golf course. They kept them active, which was good. The facility itself was very nice and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly too. He didn't participate in the activities, but he seemed happy with it. The value for money was fair.

My mom lived her last three years in the Courtyard at Christian Care. She received very good care. Alzheimer patients aren't easy, but the management and staff did a great job. They worked with us to help her through this terrible time. She had a "suite" with a little living room and a bedroom. It was always clean and the bed always made up. The food was good. They had some activities going on regularly. They do not leave them in their rooms to vegetate alone. This has been a few years, and I assume it's just as good as it was.

Courtyard at Christian Care is very pretty, well-kept, well-groomed, up-to-date, well-staffed, clean, well-organized, and convenient. Every single recommendation we've received has been very positive. They have a library, community games, community outings, church services, and they bring food to you, which is the service we need. It's also a gated community, which is important.

Christian Care Senior Living Community was close to home, and we have a lot of friends who have lived out there or still live there. It is well known for being a good facility, so the family wanted me to visit it, but I knew that it was going to be too expensive. They were doing an exercise class, so I met some of the ladies, and I went up into the dining room and chatted with some of the ladies who were having lunch. It is excellent care. The people are Christians and very kind. The lady who showed me around knew all the residents’ names and something about them. We had a little lady that stopped us in the elevator with a problem and she took care of it right away, so I was very impressed with that. They really put their needs first. It is an excellent facility but way out of our price range.

I liked Christian Care because it was set up so that if your condition changed you didn’t have to move. They had a memory unit and also just like if your health failed in general because I was looking really for independent living. This one seemed pretty nice, and I liked it very much. They have quite a few activities. They gave me a calendar, and they had a lot of things that you can do.

Courtyard at Christian Care was beautiful inside and out. They had a lot of decorations that made it cheerful and home-like. I visited during the evenings, and I didn’t see any activities going on. They were sitting around in the nurses’ station, not in their beds. It was a modern, big, and clean facility. The staff was friendly.

The Courtyard is very nice, but they don’t offer as much. They have cottages, and that’s what we were looking for. They offer meals, but it’s separate from the rent. They have two baths and a heated swimming pool. I like the scenery. I think the staff was wonderful, and the man that showed us around was very good. I would recommend it.

Christian Care Center came highly recommended from other people while I was just checking around. The staff were very friendly and they responded right back to my email. They are excellent and very energetic. The environment is wonderful. My dad has really been enjoying it. They keep the residents busy. It’s a very clean place and like I said everyone is really nice. So far we are really enjoying the facility.

We had a staff member take us on a tour of the Courtyard at Christian Care, and I thought it was very odd that she didn't get our names or phone number and no one contacted us after we took a tour of the facility. She kind of let us know that it really wasn't her job to take people on tours and she was kind of filling in, but she didn't really seem that interested. Everything about their assisted living was very old, and the hallways were very narrow. Every one over there was either on walkers or wheelchairs, and you had to line up at the end of the hall because two people couldn't go down the hall at the same time, and the elevators were very slow. We waited for 5 or 6 minutes for the elevator to come. It was just a very old building, and I just did not want any part of it.

Christian Care Center is a really nice facility. They have individual apartments. They're really small, but they're also very expensive, like $1,100. If we could afford $1,100, we could probably stay in our house. The staff is very informative, very kind, and they even did some followup with me on the Internet. But if you can't afford it, you can't afford it.

My mother lived for about four or five years in Christian Care, and she had her own apartment. The staff was great. They knew everybody and did maintenance. She complained about the patio and they redid her patio. They put a microwave in; that apartment didn’t have one, and they put one in at no cost. They had a lot of activities, and they took them on a lot of outings to different movies and a lot of other places.

Courtyard of Christian Care was an old facility. The people were wonderful and we loved them. The dining area was clean, but not very nice. It was old and dated. The carpet and their wallpaper were old. The rooms were very small, but the residents were very friendly and welcoming, and the staff was very nice.

I was very impressed with Courtyard at Christian Care. My grandmother lived in a beautiful spacious apartment there and I could tell she was very happy each time I visited. My grandmother invited me to eat with her in their dining facility several times and the food was always good. My grandmother knew and introduced me to several staff members and each one was warm and friendly. My grandmother took part in several social activities at Courtyard and was even asked to participate in a fashion show they held. Some of my best times spent with my grandmother while she lived there were when she invited me and my daughters to come down to the actual courtyard area there. We enjoyed siting on the swing and watching the colorful fish in the little pond there. I never worried about my grandmother while she lived at Courtyard at Christian Care. I knew she was able to maintain her independence, yet had the extra help and care that she needed from people who genuinely cared and had her best interest at heart.

I believe that this facility is very high class. Of course the people there complained about not wanting to be there, but it was for their own benefit and was not at the fault of the facility. They had very good food, nice staff, and great living areas. There were events that happened a few times a week and the living area was always very sociable. The rooms were almost always spotless and never smelled. Everyone person that I talked to at the facility could not deny that it was a very elegant place to spend their last days. The nurses and caretakers were open and always knew when to check on the patients. One of the only negatives that I saw was the condition of some of the residents at the facility, but that cannot be attributed to the care are any part of Christian Care. They even provided a shuttle service for the people who could not drive to get their groceries or go out on the town.
