My parents have been living in Wyndham Court of Plano for a little over a year now. They stay in the same clothes for three or four days in a row. So they're not being checked, even if they only get showers maybe 2 to 3 times a week, but on the days that they're not getting showers, they should still be changing their clothes. They don't even get down for dinner. They end up bringing food to their room, meaning they're not getting any exercise to walk to the dining area. The staff is not consistent in caring for their residents, changing their clothes, and changing the bed. I'll come in and he's laying on the mattress with no sheets. I come in and the bed's wet, things like that. They don't always go down and get them, encourage them to part in the activities. The facility is nice, it's clean.

Wyndham Court of Plano was very homey, so when you walk into the building you will feel like you're walking into a home. It was very pleasant.
The staff member was the best we've encountered out of all the places we have toured. She took the time, it was an hour and a half with us, to sit down and explain what assisted living was, validated my friend's feelings, and returned statements that he said by saying things like, "I respect that," and "OK, I understand." She made it very clear that he would be independent and he would get to make his choices.
The apartments were set up in a more unique way, they weren't a square box, so there were some angles to them, and they were gorgeous. Everything has been remodeled and looked new. We were able to taste their food and it tasted like a home-cooked meal.

Wyndham Court of Plano's assisted living seemed really nice, and the rooms were nice sized. The staff seemed friendly. They've been in the business for a long time, so it sounded like they would know what's needed to be done to take care of something. The people that we've met were super. They showed us the apartment, and they told us about the garden and the back. It was very well-maintained, and I would have been very fine with using them as well if we could have gotten my mom there. They were next in our list. We were not allowed to be around the residents at that time because of COVID. For memory care, it's very limited. They just had one style rooms for memory care, and they showed us the demo room for that. The room was very nice and very roomy, and it had a private bath and the amenities that my mother would need. It was definitely a contender.

Wyndham Court of Plano was getting ready to remodel and they were tearing the walls down, but I didn't want to go through a bunch of remodelling. What I did like was they treated me during the tour as if it was my first day there. They brought the nurse in and interviewed me on the activities of daily living and all the things that would affect my monthly fee. The nurse took a great deal of time, and the lady that gave me the tour brought the bus over to pick me up. I was impressed with all of that. They even sent me home with dinner at the end of the day. The layout of the rooms there were kind of adjacent. It was not like a box, and the halls wind around. The views outside the rooms were terribl. You only get like a wall and an alley. I saw their activities director and she was playing a card game with the residents. I looked at their activities and was really impressed with what she had lined up. The girl who gave the tour picked me up, gave me a nice tour, and answered all my personal questions. She was really concerned about me and not just trying to sell me the place. The food was excellent. They even had a pastry chef that was plating cookies in a really fancy container along with the chicken and other food. They had a few exercise bikes outside the dining room and that was their workout room; I wasn't impressed.

My overall impression has been good. We checked the rooms, and they were not as nice as the other community that we visited, but their staff was very polite and very good.

We looked at a few facilities and this one looked like the best one of all. My first impression was that it was clean and well kept. Also, it looked like they have a lot of people working there and they looked more professional. We met a nurse and she was knowledgeable about a lot of things. It seemed like she has more experience in what she does. She hasn't met my mother, yet most of the things she said was right. The rooms were smaller, but their dining room looked nice. They did have a room where they have a big TV and there were a lot of people sitting there. They would also play games. They did have a lot of activities for their residents.

I would give it an average rating. There was nothing there that attracted me when I visited this place for my wife. The marketing people were very nice and outgoing, but when I walked around, I didn't think it was a place I was interested in putting my wife. At the time of my visit, I didn't see a whole lot of activities going on, though they were getting ready for an activity session. All the residents were just going into a very small room that I didn't think could handle that number of residents. Their residents, however, looked well taken care of. The apartments that I saw were neat and clean; nevertheless, they were basically similar to other facilities I had visited.
