My dad is at Brush Country Nursing & Rehabilitation, and he is doing great. He's got Alzheimer's and stuff; he can't get around. The place is great and from what I know about the staff, they're all great. He just moved in a new room. The other room was wonderful, but I don't know about the room he is in now. They moved him to a room to start with, and then they moved him to another room. I don't know why that was, but I think it had to do with him first coming in. He had his Covid tests, and he had his vaccinations. The place is very nice and very clean. It's right down the street from me. My mother's been there several times, and they treated her really good. The only thing I don't like about it is if he's in the hospital or something, they still charge me full rate. I'm private pay, and I don't think they should do that. But other than that, everything else has been good.

I chose Regency Village Care Center for my husband mainly because they had the same personnel for the last 15 to 20 years, so that is how stable they are. Their prices are adequate and not overpriced. They have enough people there to do the job, and they take care of the people very well. That is very important. He can't do activities, but they do have plenty of activities and they have a wonderful director. I would recommend them highly.

When we first signed my father into this facility the office staff were very helpful and eager to assist us with anything we needed. Unfortunately, after my father left this facility they weren't as happy to work with us on payment for his care during his stay. The staff who worked directly with the residents were another story. My father had terrible memory problems at the time and he would know people one time and forget them at others. He remembered the kind people who helped him here and I even took him back once to visit them once before he passed away. The facility is clean and the rooms are homelike. Around the holidays the staff decorate the hallways and residents' doors to make them feel more at home. The facility is secure and they have someone sitting at a welcome desk right next to the front door to make sure residents don't leave without letting someone know. You have to sign in and out and write down who you're there to visit. The grounds are well kept and the residents have relatively large windows so there is plenty of light in their rooms if they want to open the drapes. Overall I was pleased with my father's stay in Regency Village Care Center

I would rate the facility a 3.5 as an honest rating. I am a nearby healthcare provider and have several patients who are residents at Regency. I had family members for two different patients who were rather upset over the quality of care received. I was surprised with this, since my personal interaction with them would be about a 4.Curious, I went to Regency, instead of the Regency Staff knowing /who/ I was. The facilities are not state of the art and could some updates. It's not dirty or poorly maintain, the staff works hard. This facility does long-term care, which is a difficult job, and they do hospice care, which is even harder. I believe they are trying to incorporate many living needs into one and that is where they are having the trouble. If I had a relative who needed this type of care and this facility was close, I would take them there. It's not the best, but it's decent and it's by far not the worst. I would recommend them as a hospice facility.

My father was a resident of Regency Village for 2 1/2 years until his death from a stroke. Regency Village is not the newest or fanciest facility in Southwest Austin, but it is well maintained and very clean. There is little trace of the unpleasant odors one often finds in nursing homes.The staff at Regency Village seem to have been carefully vetted. They were hard-working and attentive to the needs of patients. My father was prone to developing bedsores on his feet, and they kept a careful eye on them. His roommate was completely paralyzed, and I saw that the staff inspected his body regularly.The food appeared to be appetizing and nutritious, although my father had to be fed through a tube during most of his stay. There were frequent visits by entertainers and lecturers, and religious services were available.I was pleased with the care my father got at Regency Village, and would readily recommend it.

Regency Village is an older assisted living community. They focus heavily on skilled nursing and long-term care for residents. Compared to other retirement communities in Austin, Regency has a limited amount of amenities and luxuries. Housing is adequate - certainly nothing fancy, but it's cozy and has all appliances. The food could be better, but it's decent. From what I've seen, their care appears to be fairly solid. The Director of Nursing decides what level of skilled nursing a resident receives based on the first few days after they've been admitted to the care center (there were 3 levels of care when I was there). One of the best features of this retirement community is the built-in rehab department with speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy services on-site. The individual I know who lives here is happy and stays active with group exercise classes and planned activities that Regency offers. Regency offers a number of group events for residents, including visits from elementary children, arts and crafts, fitness classes and visits from community volunteers with various planned activities.
