We have our mother in Lakewood House Assisted Living. The community is a home and a neighborhood, she's the fifth resident there. So far, she's very comfortable, and she's been cared for very well. And they call us every time she needs anything, even if she's just a little sad. They said that their capacity is seven but they've got five right now. She's in a shared room with two beds but there's no other resident in the room with her right now. They do exercises, it's a home so they don't go out and do activities, but I can pick her up and take her to do things if I want. They've always got it decorated, it's very clean every single time I've seen it. They have a television, they get them up to do some chair exercises and they have people come in to do different things. The staff is wonderful. They pay attention to everything, and the best part is that they know her very well now, with certain little things they know how to speak to her. She doesn't like to come to eat dinner, so she'll say she's not hungry every time, so they've learned how to speak with her to get her to do what she needs to do. They'll call me over even for small things to let me know this is how she's feeling today, so they've been very attentive to her. It's better than what I've imagined, it's about $3700 a month.

Kept very clean and maintanced.... Residence get exercise and groomed frequently. Well fed and treated with dignity. Not to many residence so get more personal time. Guest welcome.
