I toured Deer Creek Assisted Living and I liked it. It was very clean, and the people that lived there looked very peaceful and happy. It was just a very nice, friendly, clean, inviting environment. The staff that I met and everybody seemed wonderful. I saw the individual apartments with some assistance. When I was there, they were having a birthday party for a tenant. As clean as the place was, and the way everybody responded, I can't imagine it is not wonderful. They had a courtyard and it was very nice, there was a dining hall, a dining room, and there was a family-friendly room. It's a very inviting, pleasant, peaceful, and clean environment.

Deer Creek is the same as the facility where my brother is at. It was just a little bit for more active seniors. It still had assisted living there, but the residents were a little bit more independent. I just felt that it would be too overwhelming for him. If you are more of an active person, it would've been OK. They've got warm, dedicated staff and it felt like home. The residents seemed very happy. It was clean and it didn't have a smell to it. They only had one library area, though. They had a garden, but I can't remember if it was specifically for smokers or not. They seem to be very caring about the people. I smelled food and they were porkchops. I even wanted to stay for lunch.

My sister is now at the assisted living at Deer Creek Senior Living. So far we're satisfied with this community, we're still trying to get her acclimated to it. She is still not wanting to get up to go to the dining room to eat when she found out they would bring the meal to her room, so she stays there. We also had the home health care come in and I'm going to meet the nurse today, and they also have a physical therapist coming in. We're trying to get her to participate in the activities that they have. The staff is great. Everybody from the executive director to their health partner, they've all been really good. You see the dining area when you first walk in, and there are also a lot of other areas. It's not a really large community, but they try to group residents at tables together so they'll be able to get social together. They're also trying to get my sister to go down. It's a smaller place and not as large as the other ones, but because of the size, the staff are able to give more attention.

Knowledge of Brookdale being up for sale. Menu of meals. Inexperienced staff. About theft by staff. Lack of activities. No ongoing puzzle areas. Could use more activities. Could use more blue warm inviting colors. Excellent rooms. Extremely small kitchen areas.

Deer Creek Senior Living was a really nice facility, but my friend doesn't have enough money to pay for it. I saw ladies playing cards. It smelled clean and fresh. The dining area looked clean and spacious, it had several tables, and it was clean.

Brookdale DeSoto's rooms are very clean and a little bit smaller than what my mom is used to, but it's adequate. They have a big dining room and big living room area with a fireplace. They have a little beauty shop for the residents and a snack bar right at the end of the dining room so people can get something to drink or to munch on during the day. The activities schedule had Bingo and board games.

I really liked Brookdale DeSoto, but it costs too much. The staff is very nice, but you have to pay for all the amenities, and we can't afford to pay for everything extra. I like the atmosphere, the décor of the building, the rooms and the staff was nice, it was in a great location, and it would have been perfect, but I just can't afford it. It was a great place, and my only complaint is it's costly.

My dad is in Brookdale Senior Community. It is a great community. The really take care of the residents there. They will help and keep you up-to-date on what is going on with your mom, dad, or whoever you have there. It is just an overall great community. The staff works really hard. They are persistent about everything. They go by whatever needs you or your parents to have so they make sure they follow the rules. If they have any issue or concern about anything, they will give you a call first, talk to you, and see how you go about with it. They are excellent.

This facility informed me of everything I wanted to know and then some. It was a great place and I would leave my loved one in their care.

I visited this community last week for my mother. I was so amazed at how happy the residents are. The caregivers and nurse was very friendly and caring as they interacted with the residents. The sales manager was very helpful and knowledgeable. This community spelled so clean and fresh. I toured other Sterling House communities in this area but to me this is the best. I am definately moving my mother in.
