When I visited Heritage Tomball, I saw residents active, happy and socializing. So, I liked that. The room is pretty much the same as other places, you bring your own furniture, and you supply all your personal items. They have three meals a day. They have a place where they can sit outside, and they have a place where they can stand up and garden where they have raised beds. If they want to help with gardening, they can do that. They do have outdoor activities for them when the weather is nice.

The person I met at the Heritage Tomball was very nice and very informative. She showed me around and I just felt very comfortable with her. The room was nice and the fact that it would be more of a private room was very appealing. The dining area was also large, and I felt it was very nice and clean. So, I felt very good about the place. My mom prefers to eat her meals in her room, and they said that there wouldn't be a problem with that. So, pretty much they would cater to my mom and her preference. They also offer physical and occupational therapy with the doctor's prescription, even during respite care, which I thought was very nice. Plus, they have other activities available.

We chose The Heritage Tomball Senior Living for my mother. It's like a 15 to 20 minute drive from my house. She's only been there three days, and I'm very, very pleased with it so far. The staff is extremely compassionate, extremely helpful, and I feel like so far, they've gone over and above. They're very, very caring and kind to my mom. The food appears to be good, they have a lot of choices, they have a daily menu, but they also have a separate menu called "always available", so if they don't like something on the daily menu, they have this other menu of things like a back up plan every single day. I would say that's their biggest strength, the food is good, and just a lot of offerings there. She has an incredible apartment, too. They cannot do very much due to COVID restriction. Pricing is very fair and excellent, and you get more for your money there than a lot of places in the area.

There were two people in Heritage Tomball who took my wife and me on a tour. We sat down and ordered off a menu, and it was pretty good. There were only three other people in the dining hall at 12:00. There were some elderly ladies who were all dressed up, and looked like they were ready to go shopping and stuff. We walked through the whole place and I didn't see anybody. The staff members who took us on the tour were OK. When you walk in, there's a staircase because the place was two stories, and kind of elaborate. They had a chef who I think was preparing special foodfor us; I don't think they feed the people that every day. There was nobody in the dining hall.

Heritage Tomball's staff is pretty good. The facilities were a little disjointed and very sectioned off though. The dining area had an open floor plan, but there was nothing special about it. It didn't seem very upbeat or cheerful. It had more of a hospital than a retirement home atmosphere.

Heritage was good, except the response time when you call for help was 15 to 20 minutes, sometimes longer. The food was to be expected. We have Bingo and all sorts of games; however, very few participate. It's clean and well-maintained. We go down, and there's a big screen TV, they showed tapes and DVDs. The entertainment is adequate; it's fine.

Heritage Tomball was newer, spotlessly clean, and had a welcoming lobby. It is a larger complex with a wide range of services, but it was more expensive. A lot of the rooms had an outdoor patio area if you were on the first floor. The food was very appetizing. They had a full salad bar that people could stop and eat at pretty much any time of the day. They seemed to have a large of array of planned outings and activities.

We have moved my father into the Heritage Tomball, and the impression is pretty good. The grounds are kept up very well, but the servers in the food area needs improvement.

My husband was at The Heritage Tomball for quite a while. When we first went in, it was quite pleasant, and they took really good care of him. Then they moved him from assisted-living to another setup because he has Parkinson's, and a degenerative type thing. We had issues over stolen linens, and inappropriate making up of the bed with no covers for the mattress. I had bought $200 worth of linens that just disappeared, and they were using plastic bibs as underneath the sheet for waterproofing; which was ridiculous. I could never get ahold of the administrators. She was either not there or she was unavailable. She just would not respond to my calls. I just leave messages, and it was beginning to be quite an ordeal. We were not satisfied with what was going on. The dining room was nice, and he enjoyed the food. It wasn't the greatest though. With Parkinson's, he almost needs finger food because he can't handle a spoon for soup. They tried to accommodate him as best they could. He loved the activities, and he even learned to paint.

We did not like the Heritage Tomball. It reminded me too much of a nursing home. We didn’t get to really look at it because they didn’t have any empty rooms.

My mother has been at The Heritage Tomball for a week now. Starting out, it was a little rocky because we weren't on the same page as far as what to expect. There were things that we didn't really know about the process according to the paperwork that they gave us. My mother hasn't been there long enough to really see the process; however, from what I've seen so far, we like it. The only thing about it is communication. They lost things, like paperwork, so we had to give them the same paperwork maybe two or three times because they misplaced it. That's the only negative thing and that's to be expected.

The Heritage Tomball was bigger, but not as friendly. It was more hospital like and wasn't homey. I talked to Dr. Graham -- my mom's doctor -- who was one of the residents there. He said he sits at the dining table and eats by himself everyday, and I didn't like that. The apartment had a separate little sitting room with a wall that comes out to divide it into two parts. The other room was just a square room with a closet and a bathroom, but it had a little separate sitting room connecting to the living room. They didn't seem as warm or friendly as the other place. It was clean, but it was just too big, and they need to pull the people together with activities.

We chose The Heritage Tomball for my mother, and the care is going great. They are all very friendly and willing to help, and I don't have any complaints. I've looked at the little activity book; they always have bingo and exercise class like sitercise and chair yoga, and they have a painting class and crafty type class. They bring in different things every now and then; people come in and sing and do a little show for them. They'll take them to Wal-Mart or AGB. My only complaint has been the billing process. We've had a lot of problems with that part of it.

I was looking a place for a friend and visited The Heritage. It was a nice place, and the people were very helpful. They have contacted me several times just to see if I was still interested, and they answered all my questions. It was really fine.

I didn't like The Heritage Tomball. It had a funny smell to it. I had a special meeting for caregivers there. I had called to RSVP and got all the way up there but they had cancelled. They had my file right in front of the telephone when I walked in and they said, "I'm sorry, we didn't get the chance to call you and say it's been cancelled." Their rooms were okay but they had a funny smell and that was the first thing that turned me off.

I really liked the Heritage because every employee that walked by introduced themselves and spoke to you, and every client seemed really happy. I didn’t taste the meal, but I saw what they were serving and it looked wonderful. The dining area was very pretty, the way they set it out with tablecloths and everything. The rooms were really big and spacious. They have a lot of activities and they bring in a lot of outside people, and the activities were really good.

I visited The Heritage. The facility is pretty nice. I’m looking at the cost as well, and the cost is pretty high. At The Heritage its semi-private; the rooms were OK. It’s pretty spacious. It’s nice and clean. The people seemed friendly.

I had a brief visit at The Heritage Tomball, and it seemed like it was a nice place. The staff seemed friendly. The rooms were fine and had different sizes. Some of the rooms were small, but they were adequate. I was very impressed with it. There were some activities going on, but I cannot recall what they were. I didn't see a lot of folks, but the ones I saw seemed like they were happy and content.

My husband is at The Heritage Tomball and what I like about this facility is that it is closer to me and it's close to the hospital. Before they were having problems with the food, but now they changed their chef.

My sister-in-law was there so I had the chance to visit the place and the facility did not appeal to me at all. The staff are okay.

The Heritage of Tomball was nice. The staff was great, they showed me around. It had meals for them and they had a car that would take them somewhere or to their doctor's appointments. They had other things going on like meetings, exercises, and stuff like that or things to keep you busy. We are actually moving my mom in there next month.

The Heritage was a very nice place and it did not have any foul smell. The staff were attentive. The residents seemed happy and excited to be there. We did not try the food but the residents said it was delicious.

The Heritage is very, very attractive. It's exceptional and mom liked it. But she thought it was a little bit fancy. It's a wonderful and beautiful facility. The staff was exceptionally nice.

The nurses on staff are very attentive. They noticed that my mother suddenly started having difficulty walking. The nurses started investigating. They found out that the doctor had prescribed too strong of a medication and immediately contacted the doctor. They conferred several times until they dosage was correct. If they had not been so aware of my mother's condition she would not be able to walk, because I thought this problem was the next stage in her Alzheimer's. The facility is also beautiful and well maintained. They know their patients and I appreciate that.

I was very happy when I found The Heritage and I'm sure I'll know more as we go along. One thing that made us decide to place my mother there is because it's within our financial bracket. Apart from this, I believe that the facility is good for my Mom. She will be getting a spacious room and very adequate for her.

I will never forget how welcoming and nice the staff were. They were always very attentive to their occupants and even joined them in games and activities. Most of the residents were elderly people who needed constant assistance due to physical/mental problems and I had never seen one staff member complain. The residents also seemed to enjoy living there and had formed an active and healthy community amongst each other. The facility was very clean and set up to look like an actual home to seem more inviting. The only thing negative I would have to say about the facility was that there were some residents that did seem to not enjoy living at the facility and they had said that the staff would sometimes pick favorites amongst the residents. So, that being said, some of the elderly residents weren't included in activities that they wanted to do or certain "cliques" of residents would alienate others. I feel it should be the staff's job to discourage these cliques from forming and making sure all their residents are fully included in activities/therapy conversations.

I visited this facility when I was going through training to become a certified nursing assistant through one of my high school honors classes. From what I saw, the staff is for the most part very friendly and upbeat. At other assisted living facilities I have been to, the staff was not very friendly. They would talk about the residents badly behind their backs and even to their faces. But, at The Heritage, this was not an issue. Not only do the residents get the respect they deserve but the employees do as well. They are very quick to meet the needs of residents. I don't think I ever saw a call light on for more than 2 or 3 minutes. They also do not lose their temper and are very calm with even the meanest of residents. I generally feel that all of the staff at The Heritage do not do their jobs strictly for the money but for the joy of helping the residents.
