What I liked least about Legacy at Forest Ridge was their pricing, but some of it was negotiable. It was just very nice, the residents were friendly, the people that live there and the staff were helpful. They even offered that I sit down and try their food. I like the fact that they have menu options. Say you wanted breakfast or dinner, they can accommodate that, it just depends on what you felt like having. Say for dinner, we wanted what's on the lunch menu, you could go ahead and do that as well. For the pricing, they do different tiers and my dad would probably be a tier for and that was additional. They did offer a special for a year where they would take $500 for the first year. But then the other aspect of it is so you're paying $5,000 then you've got to pay the different tier of medical assistance, which was going to be about $1400 more. And then because he had assistance with his medication, that was another fee between $375 up to $675. It just depends on what the nursing staff there would do. So I asked if they would give a discount, they said that the price would be a little negotiable. So by the time it's all said and done, you'd be paying close to $7000 a month. It's an awesome facility and it was fairly new so everything was ok. I spoke to the nursing attendant that did the medications, she was friendly. They also have other food options other than just the regular menu. You could rent out some of the facilities if you want to have a big family party for your loved one, which was free of charge. You just have to notify them what day. They had a lot of live entertainment that usually comes on Fridays and Saturdays. I talked to some of the people that already live there and I asked their opinion as well, and they told me that they loved it. They were in the process of also updating a lot of their furniture because it was an older facility. It was wide open and the staff was very friendly.

Legacy at Forest Ridge was very clean. That's the first thing that I look at, along with safety, and that place is 10 out of 10 for me. The rooms were very clean. If I could afford the private pay, I would just love to have my mother there. I toured their assisted living and the staff who assisted me was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. After he told me that they don't take Medicaid and that it was just private pay, he still gave me more information, which he didn't have to do, so I appreciated that. To me, the dining area looked restaurant-style. For activities, they had a joint exercise that they were doing where they were sitting in chairs and whatnot.

The staff and services at Legacy at Forest Ridge were very helpful for assisted living. The community is beautiful, like a cruise ship. Their food was very good and they had quite a few activities for assisted living. They would take the residents out to different places until we found out that with his Alzheimer's condition, he's not allowed to stay in their memory care. He was essentially kicked out. They did not help my father move into memory care, they just kicked him out. Their assisted living was fine, but as his condition worsened they were not helpful at all. For the people who don't need memory care the activities were very good. But for Alzheimer's and memory care they do not provide aide.

Legacy at Forest Ridge was not a secure unit. The surroundings were pretty and the grounds were kept well, but if somebody was to get out, they could really get hurt, and it's a little bit too close to the highway. They didn't show the memory care because that would have to be a secure place and it's not. The apartment was clean. It was not a very big place, and I didn't see a whole lot of it. They should be more open with the people who would like to put their loved one there.

Legacy at Forest Ridge was a very nice facility, but it seemed so large and impersonal, plus the cost was a little pricy. It's more commercial, like when you go and visit a resort. They have very nice people and excellent food. It just wasn't what my dad needed as far as their accommodations. It didn't seem so homey, but the cleanliness and the layout were excellent. They have an exercise area and a dining hall.

Legacy at Forest Ridge was very nice. They did a really good job. The rooms were average. The place was very clean, and it seemed like there were many different activities and accommodations. They had a TV and a workout room where they monitored the residents. It seemed like the activities were well thought out for the residents. All of the people were helpful, professional, and answered all the questions we had. If they couldn’t answer it, they found the means to get the answers we needed.

The Legacy at Forest Ridge is a such beautiful facility with a warm loving staff, My mother has been there for 2 months now and she's so happy. Everyone is so friendly, I love the fact that they know where my mom is 24/7 and if she needs them.... They come to her assistance immediately. I'm so impressed with the security and the staff and the leadership is just amazing. My mom says the best part of living there is the fitness program and the food!!!

Legacy at Forest Ridge was a brand new facility that we visited. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to improve on pricing for my mom. Right now, she’s got 425 sq. ft. in an assisted living facility, and she’s paying $3,475 a month. It was a nice facility, but the rooms were small, which seems to be the norm for some reason. They’re a new facility, the people were very warm as far as the workers, and the residents that I spoke to were very pleased and very happy to be there.

Legacy at Forest Ridge is an amazing, brand-new, very modern facility. It’s not dark nor smells bad like in most facilities. It is very bright well cared for, almost like a hotel. The staff is awesome. The food is fantastic. They don’t have keys for the residents; they wear wristbands that automatically open their doors once they get to the door. They can bring in their own furniture, and I think being surrounded by her own things helps Mom with her memory. Her room is like an apartment with a little kitchen, no oven, and microwave. They had a Super Bowl party and outings. They call us to see if it is OK for Mom to join them when they go out to dine at different places. Whenever they are out, there is a caregiver for every three residents looking after them.

I picked The Legacy at Forrest Ridge for my mom because they had more actual apartments. Like the one that we are getting actually has three rooms because it has a little kitchen area where it has just the refrigerator and counters and counter doors, it has a room that you can make into a bedroom, and then it has a separate room for a living room area. So I wanted her to have more like an apartment and not necessarily an assisted living place.
