We were very concerned about putting mom in an assisted living. However the staff has gone above and beyond in her care. She feels at home in this house and can rest assured she is given the best care she can. Shirley has gone out of her way to find doctors that will work with her insurance. Sharon ,who is my moms nurse goes above and beyond for my mom. All the staff does.

My mom has been in Casa Felicitas for about a month and a half already. We chose it because it is a home environment, and it only has a total of 14 residents. They have doctors that actually come to the house, and it is very convenient. We all like it, and we are very impressed. The owner is a critical care nurse, and we like the staff. Because it is such a smaller community, they do not have the programs that the larger community has, but they keep my mom out of her room. They have her in their living area where they have recliner, and she watches TV. In the afternoon, they do a little bit more activities. They have an outside patio, which is very nice. They have a lady that comes from the beauty shop that styles their hair. It is a home so everything is home cooked. Everything is kept well. She is sharing a room with 2 other ladies, and because of the care that she needs, she doesn't need to have a private room because all she does in there is sleep. They do make a point of keeping her out of her room so she can socialize with other people, and she watches movies with the other ladies. They take care of their residents. They keep an eye on my mom. I know there is a time when I guess she has a bad night and she is trying to get up, but she cannot put weight on her leg because her leg is broken and she has a rod inserted. They cannot slip her in bed, so they take her to the living area, and they have a staff member to watch her during the night. So, it is a one-to-one basis there. Of course, that is just a on-etime incident. I think she just had a disrupted night. I do like the idea that when something like that happens and they have somebody to watch her because they have a shorter staff during the evening hour or the graveyard shift.
