Brookdale Hollywood Park was great. The staff members were great. The rooms were okay. They had a refrigerator and a microwave. They had a nice room where they painted. They had a stove where they could cook. They had a vegetable garden, chicken coops, and an outdoor shaded courtyard.

I toured Brookdale Hollywood Park for my mom. It was the first and only one I went to, and it just worked out well for us. It is five minutes from where we live, so, it's super close and convenient because it's right off the highway. It is very clean. In another time search for a different grandparent, we had been to several different locations before, and they always had an odor to them and this one did not. There was no odor. The people were very friendly and very on top of it. I could call any time, and they got back to me very quickly. They just seemed very nice. I also liked that it was a smaller community and had 34 residents, so there were fewer people to have to keep track of. The fees are very comparable, too. She can age in care there. If she starts as an independent living and then transitions to memory care or something more severe, they can do it all there. We wouldn't have to move her to a different facility. But she's going to be in assisted.

My mom moved into Brookdale, and we liked it a lot. It's an amazing place, it's centrally located, and it's in an excellent location. However, they need to get rid of the rugs in the hall. The staff was very sweet, but overloaded and overworked. Mother loves the activities, she loves Bingo, people come in and sing, and she even gets to do pottery.

Brookdale have medical team and staff at the place. It was really nice, very clean, and a nice porch too. It was just a good place; they had an art room, a TV room, and a nice community patio area. They had excellent staf;, everyone was friendly, and the residents seemed happy. It is smaller facility, and the rooms were small but really nice.

I liked the location of Brookdale Hollywood Park, centrally located in San Antonio. The staff seemed to be really good about setting up appointments with doctors and having a recommendation list of doctors that will come into the center. They served all three meals, had some outdoor activities, a small courtyard off the memory care unit, and a larger courtyard for assisted living. I don’t like the way the layout is for the memory care because it has cut off part of the assisted living and it's not circular, so it’s like a U. I just didn’t get a good feeling there.

I didn't like Brookdale Hollywood Park, formerly Emeritus at Hollywood Park, so much. It seemed very crowded, and the rooms seemed to be small. Everybody was nice, and it was the closest one to my house. I just didn't care for it.

I liked Brookdale Hollywood Park (Emeritus at Hollywood Park). It was really well run. They had a really nice big calendar that showed their activities. It seemed really clean. They had a big courtyard. It was a smaller facility, which I liked.

My mother was at Brookdale Hollywood Park (Emeritus at Hollywood Park) for respite care. She enjoyed the food and the activities. Most of the staff were very good, very nice, and very accommodating.

Emeritus is a smaller facility; my father-in-law was in the assisted living part for a couple of years. They have activities, but he likes to stay in his room, read, have people watch him, and come out to eat. He is quiet, and he likes just being alone. Emeritus suits his purposes, but they seemed to be short of staff; you don’t get the response as much as you like. He is in the memory care unit, and he is getting more attention now so I would have to say we are happy with it. I really like the fact that the staff is friendly and approachable, it’s clean, and it doesn’t have a smell to it. I like the people there; the food isn’t that great, and we have known them for a few years now. If the rent increased, they get corporate services; they are increasing a certain amount and complain sometimes they can work with you on it. I would recommend it, and they just redecorated it too.

I liked Brookdale Hollywood Park. It was clean, except that I don't like the hallways. They had more hallways, not the rooms opening onto one large room. That was what I looking for, and I didn't get a good impression. The staff seemed fine, but I don't think they have as much staff. They showed me a calendar with a bunch of activities. They do bingo and crafts.
