My mother moved into Strake Place. Our experience has been very good. It's very clean. They are short-staffed right now, but the director and the other staff are picking up wherever. They're very attentive. She said that she's not happy with the food on most occasions. I really haven't seen too much other than just bingo. She goes down to eat and then she goes back to her room. That's all she's done so far, but she's not very happy that she's in assisted living. They have laundry, they have bookcases with books, and a little sitting area. The place is very pretty. It's very attractive. I think it's very expensive, but it's along with every other place that we looked at. There are areas that need repair, but it is very pretty and clean. So far, from what we have seen, there really hasn't been anything except bingo.

I was able to tour Strake Place in person. The experience I had was positive. The facility was very nice. I really loved how the administrator who took me around dealt with all of the residents and was able to call everyone by their names and also made sure that they have their masks on. The facility was lovely. They said it was recently updated, and it looked great. Overall, I liked it, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go with it because I'm looking for a place that deals with Medicaid and they do not.

Kind and compassionate group. We are involved during Covid lock-downs. They always keep us informed. If we get a call from our relative inside. We call them to see what's happening and they go immediately to check. They have been very responsive and are doing a great job during Covid to keep things as normal as possible in difficult times.

Strake Place is very positive and we liked the organization of the facility. It seemed to be able to accommodate us fairly well. The facility was laid out well and sufficient. We were impressed with its appearance the people who greeted us. They had a greeting room, activity area with Bingo available, a nurse who can make an assessment, and they had a room that was facing the garden area, which was nice and appealing. The rooms had a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and bathroom in them.

I found Strake Place for my mom. It has friendly people, lower pricing, and staff who is very caring, friendly, and made my mom feel right at home. The room is very pretty and nicely decorated. You can get a two-bedroom and even the one-bedroom is pretty spacious for just mom. Their food is good. I wouldn’t call it gourmet food, but it is good, and their dining area is very nice. They have lots of activities like bingo, bowling, and movies. So, there are off-site activities as well as lots of things going on. They almost always have two or three activities during the day that the residents can do.

Oh My! Both of our parents are there and we love this place! The staff are some of the most caring people I have ever met in my life. The nurses and staff treat our parents and the other residents if they were family, We were so thankful they had an opening for them.

I visited the Strake Place today. What a warm welcome! I had heard such awful things. Not true! Very clean! The Director Katherine was very informative. She gave me a tour. They have a full schedule if you want to stay busy. I have no reservations about the Strake Place. We will be moving a close friend there in the near future.

I was so impressed!!! I read the older reviews, but I chose to visit this community anyway. I met the Executive Director and Care Services Manager along with the other staff there. They were absolutely amazing. Strake Place didn't smell. It was very clean and had a homelike feel that I can't describe. I immediately made the decision to move my mom into the community. She met other residents who were playing cards. I know I have made the right decision. Strake Place is worth visiting and seeing for yourself.

Strake House was not very well kept. It needed a lot of updating. It was very old, musky smelling, and I just wasn't impressed with it at all.

Strake House would not be a good fit for my parents. The residents there all seemed to stay in their rooms. There were just a couple of them out playing bingo but the rest were all in their rooms and this was in the middle of the afternoon. The facility was clean but it seemed like it was rundown a little bit and needed some refurbishing. What concerned me was with their residents all staying in their rooms and it was not the type of environment that I thought would be a good match for my parents.
