We chose Broadmoor Place for my husband because of the atmosphere. The rooms were very nice. When I went through it, everybody was in the dining room, eating, laughing, and talking. It seemed like a very positive atmosphere.
The services were all good. They would manage his medication, which is wonderful. They had private rooms. The room I looked at was very nice.
The thing that hit me was the fact that it was a very clean establishment. You didn't smell anything. It was clean and neat. It was very festive because it was the holidays, and they had Christmas trees. It was just very nice. The people I met were very friendly. It's less than a mile away from my house, so it's very convenient. They had a library.

I have a aunt that lives at this community. They are a sweet community that truly cares about the residents. The Executive Director and Sales Director are extremely nice and can make you laugh anytime. They are now getting to take the residents out for activities since covid has calmed down some. They just got remodeled and the place looks amazing. It's very cozy for the residents. They have very friendly staff and the food is good too. My aunt is very happy here and I would recommend this community over any of them in Bryan/College Station.

Broadmoor Place seems like a nice place. The people are friendly and it was not super fancy, but well kept up, clean, and looks nice. Their rooms were nice, they're about the same everywhere you go. The people who gave the tour were very friendly, the dining area was fine and it looked like a nice place. They also have a nice courtyard.

I went to Broadmoor Place. They were very friendly. It's a very old place. It was clean, but it hasn't been updated nearly enough. The dining area was medium to small. They gave me a list of their amenities. The location is better for people that live right in the heart of Bryan. It's right across from Blinn College and it's hard to find. My navigator on my car said, "Turn right here, turn left here, go straight, now you're here," and I was at the middle of an intersection and I had to go down another block and a half before I saw the little opening. Because of the address, I thought it was directly across from Blinn, but it's further north. During the tour, I had too many comments about things that were just sounding more like a salesman. I'm trying to identify with the person, but not connecting with her.
The parking area was fine. They had a huge green space behind, but the staff told me they had spotted a fox out there, which does not work with my service dog. It's just something that people see from their rooms, but you wouldn't want to let small children visiting you or an animal lose if there could be a fox there.
It was much more just a place. They're repainting it and updating it slowly. They had a garden patio, but it was not in good shape. The staff told me to ignore it because they were changing their seasonal plants. When you walk out, there was one double-seater swing and then you could sit on the patio and look out, but it wasn't nearly as inviting as the other places I had visited.

My experience with Broadmoor Place was good. Everybody seemed to be good. The room looked clean and roomy. I thought the place was well laid out. The eating area and the activity area were good. They have a place where people would exercise, but it is not like a gym. The staff was very involved with everybody, and it's kind of like a family atmosphere. I thought the location was good and really convenient.

We moved my brother-in-law into Broadmoor Place last December. We chose it because it was more like home. The staff is very kind. They take care of his needs, and they're very helpful. They're just great. We have no problem at all with the food, and he's been eating well. For activities, they take him for walks, they have crafts and Bingo, and they keep him very active. I would recommend them because they're family oriented; they treat you like family.

This is the 3rd facility my mother has been in. It is the best in regards to her care. They are small, but they are very friendly, take very good care of her and are really concerned for her. I have witnessed all of this and seen and heard them when they didn't now I was listening or watching. I have a camera in my mom's apartment.
They are very concerned about her health and monitor that very well. She really likes the actives they have ad the meals are good. Yes I have eaten the food.
Rooms are very spacious and lots of natural light.
They try to get the families involved as much as the family will let them.
They are in the process of remodeling the entire facility.

My aunt has lived at Broadmoor Place and it's not as clean, not as friendly, and not as up-to-date as the other places we've looked at. She was pretty happy there, but I did not find the staff to be as professional. Some staff members were very friendly, others were not, and they seemed a little bit tired. They didn't project as much positivity, and they certainly did not have good activities. They provided transportation very readily.

This facility was good at the beginning. However, constant turnover at the director level at this has led to declining care for residents. Also told nurse would be full time but simply not true. Rooms not cleaned as promised either. Currently does not have permanent /full time director or nurse at this facility. Also two employees is not enough to cover 30 residents on the weekends. Staff needs training on caring for seniors and is extremely overworked and does not have the best interest of the residents at this facility.Corporation that owns this facility is more concerned with profits and cutting costs than care being provided to residents. This is probably why most of management at this facility is no longer in place. This place was near full capacity when we moved our love one in about two years ago. Now there are plenty open rooms available. Would highly recommend that you don't move your loved one into one of those open rooms. There is plenty of reasons why current residents are being moved out by their families to other facilities. Not a place that you can trust to care for your loved one. Beware !!

The majority of my rating is toward the Director, most of the problems stem from her and her management style. In general, most of the caregivers were friendly and cared for my mother; however, with constant turnover and staff shortages, I began to fear for mother's safety and well-being. Two caregivers on the floor for 30+ residents is NOT adequate! We dealt with several med cart errors that we know about. In an environment where transparency is crucial, the Director did not like the staff talking to family, which made one wonder what she was trying to hide. I sent my concerns regarding the Director to her boss and up the next management level only to be ignored for months and when I finally got a response, it was basically a "the Director is doing her job and we don't care" response. Apparently the bottom line is more important than resident care for Enlivant or at least for this facility.
My mother lived here for 1 1/2 years. About six months in this director was hired and thus began a downward spiral. The website says: "a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care"; PLEASE note that this is a regional nurse, NOT on site, who may or may not answer her phone when needed. The maintenance man left and it took 9 months to hire a new one. The Head Chef was fired 2 months ago and to my knowledge, there is not currently a Head Chef. There was never a staff member available (due to staff shortages) to drive the wheelchair van if needed for a doctor appointment. Housekeeping was virtually nonexistent although the bathroom appeared to be cleaned somewhat regularly. There was no weekly housekeeping as the contract stated and my mother's room was filthy and the carpet stained when we recently moved her from the facility.

Broadmoor Place seemed like a good place. The rooms were spacious, adequate, and seemed like oversized motel rooms. The place seemed clean, bright, and cheerful.
