We visited Wren Place. They had something listed and it looked like there were all kinds of activities for the residents. It's only an assisted living facility. Everything was just beautiful. It's very welcoming, well-kept, updated, and just very, very nice. The staff during the tour was very professional, very, very nice, and very informative. They had a small library. We did not taste the food, but they had a menu of what they'd be having for the month.

Wren Place was excellent. My mother is there and there's very good supervision. They have a lot of different activities each week. They rotate different activities, so the residents aren't by themselves all the time, but they give them things to do, which is very good. I have not tried the food, but my mother says it has improved a whole lot. They have a new chef and she's very happy with it. It's good food. This place is a more affordable choice than the others.

Overall, Wren Place has been excellent. They have adequate staff, quality service, the food's good, and the place is nice and clean. Right now, I don't have anything to say about it at all. It's pretty amazing how they do their food. It's a smaller place with only about 45 residents, and they come around the table at each meal and ask them what they want for their next meal and how they want it prepared. They also have choices. The room size is a little small and and they do have some 1-bedroom apartments. They have a significant number of activities for them every day, church services, games, Red Hat ladies meet once in a while, and they're going to get a bridge group going. They also got puzzles for people to play and computers for people to sit at out in the hall if they want to play. They have a little area out front where people can sit, visit, and have coffee or iced tea which is all provided. About once a month, they take them to the local Minor League baseball game.

My mother has been a resident of Wren Place over a year. Wren Place feels like home. The staff is loving and caring of all their residents. Families are always welcome and invited to special events. The facilities have recently been renovated and are beautiful. The food is delicious and they try to please all appetites with a variety.

Wren Place was a very pleasant-looking place. Everybody looked satisfied coming out of the dining hall. The problem with it was the apartments were too small. The appearance was very good. They had bingo and several different courses that visiting professors would come in and teach which was a nice gesture.

We like Wren Place, and my dad does, too. So far, so good. He has made a lot of friends already. He is vision-impaired, so they help him a lot with that, like with his medications and menu. They're very caring people. They have a lot of activities that he really can't do, but yet, they do help him with what he can. As for the food, there is a lot of it that he doesn't care for, but they do have a couple of options so he could choose something else. For the money and the care that he is getting, I couldn't ask for anything better. Everybody is nice; the residents are nice. You feel more at home and down to earth there.

My dad is at Wren Place. They’re wonderful and treat him like family. I would recommend them.

We had Mother in, but we had to move her out because they were getting so expensive. They were getting terrible, and they were having too much turnover of their own employees. The dining area was adequate. It was very clean and neat. She said the room was too drab.

My mother lived here for a little over a year. I liked that they allowed my mother's cat to also move in and I decorated the walls with her collections of art. My mother had dementia symptoms at the time but was physically functional. As my mother became more confused, clearly the staff was not trained to manage such needs. For example they delivered her meal tray to her room (she refused the DR) and yet did not open up the containers or encourage my mother to eat. I visited every 2-3 months (living in CA) and was shocked when my mother got down to 98lbs. I had hoped the staff would have been more attentive and even suggest her moving out when they were not able to adequately care for her. Overall, they are great folks, I just feel you need to discern if this is the right level of care (as these facilities always need to fill beds).

My experience was mostly positive. It was a nice, apartment complex/hotel style set-up with a bit of a hospital feel. The staff were alright, and seemed at home there, and were very respectful and helpful to the people who lived there and my family and I. I didn't know much about the amenities, although I did know that there were community activities, meals, and so forth, although I didn't spend enough time to learn about that in great detail. Again, I did have a good experience with the staff, and my great-uncle seemed to have a positive experience all-in-all.
