I toured Double Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care, it was very nice. The people were very nice and accommodating, and the facilities were pretty brand new, so that was good. They followed up with us, but they're quite expensive. They showed us both assisted living and memory care. The apartments had nothing, so you had to bring your own furniture in the assisted living rooms. There were different levels of rooms, there was a one-bedroom, a studio, and a deluxe studio, but they just include the bathroom and the room. The facilities were very nice, there was an outdoor area or courtyard so they can sit out, and their dining area was also nice. The staff who gave the tour answered all of our questions, was very concerned about the care that we needed, and offered advice. The place was clean, but in one area you could smell that a person had an accident, and you could smell it down the hall.

Double Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care was fabulous. However, it was way at the top of our budget; it was more expensive. It's very high-end, very clean, and very organized. There were lots of artwork on the wall. It looked like it was well taken care of. The staff who assisted me stopped and introduced me to other staff. They were very friendly. They just have a great demeanor about them, a pleasant demeanor. She told me what each person did and all that. They have an elevator. You could go upstairs in the elevator, and that was different from the other ones. I like the layout. They have a second floor. I like the movie theater room, too. It was really expensive though.

We liked everything about Double Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was a real nice place, the rooms were adequate, nice, kind of separated areas, and so we liked the layout of the room. They had a theater there, and the courtyard was nice. The staff was really nice, real professional, and they had a lot of activities, which is a good thing. The people seemed to be happy there. It was very clean.

My parents liked Double Creek. They have all levels of assisted living, and they have memory care as well. The atmosphere seemed really good, and the staff seemed nice and friendly to the residents. The rooms were bigger than most of the type 2 assisted living facilities. The dining area was set up very nice, and a resident there raved about how good the food was. It's very clean, and it didn't have any smell at all. It seemed very relaxed for the clients that were out, just sitting around, and playing dominos. It's a two-story, they had an elevator and stairs, a big activity room, and a theater room. They will have a one-bedroom with a living area, so it's good sized.

We experienced 45-60 minute call light wait times on several occasions. Always short handed on staff. New caregiver every week. High employee turnover. Rates are not adequate to room size. Laundry not being done once a week. Bed rarely made.
