We are on our 5th day without hot water and this is typical for this facility. They charge premium for minimally acceptable services. The facility is first class but going down very rapidly due to incompetent maintenance. I live here with my wife who has Alzheimer's and plan to stay til they kick us out, but I don't recommend it.

I was impressed with the personnel at Shavano Park Senior Living, even the director. He came in and introduced himself. They were excellent. The rooms were very nice and spacious. It has some kind of a little area for the bed and then a living area, and a kitchen that has a microwave, refrigerator, and cabinets. So, they can bring any snacks that they want.
They have entertainment and a movie room, and they can get the residents out into whatever activities they want to attend. It's a smaller facility, which can have some advantages, but the only problem they had was that they had limited respite care. They only have one unit designated for respite care and you have to book it in advance.

My tour at Shavano Park Senior Living was excellent. I could not have asked for a better tour or a better person to give me the tour. I saw everything, and I was very impressed. I saw a room. It's a smaller facility than the other facility. I liked that better, that it was smaller. I saw the dining hall from a distance, and they have a very nice courtyard. The layout was excellent. It's two levels.

I visited Shavano Park Senior Living. I liked the room, they were big. I think that they would work well for my parents, and the staff was nice. They knew the names of the different people there. It is small, it's only got like 40 beds, which is nice for 40 rooms. It's newer, I think it's only six years old.
The staff was very talkative, very informative, and knew the residents because it's a smaller community. The dining room was nice, it's somewhat small, but it's a small community. So, with only 40 people, you don't need more than 10 tables. In the memory care area, there was somebody there watching over them to see what their needs might be. It was clean and well-kept. I didn't see a library, but they have bingo, board games, and a small workout area. There's a barber service in the facility and a 1-person salon.

Shavano Park Senior Living was very nice. The tour was good. I liked it a lot. It seemed very clean and comfortable. I only met one person, but very nice and helpful.

I am amaze at how breathtaking this place is! It definitely looks like home. I was so worried about leaving my family member but when I met with the staff everyone was all smiles and very personable. Everyone answered all if my questions and I had so many!. Thank you so much for all you do!

At the time that I visited Shavano Park Senior Living, they had someone singing and entertaining. Their rooms were very nice. I know it was a hotel at one time. They have different rooms for their activities. Their dining area was nice.

My loved one just recently moved in and we are very happy. The staff gonout of their way to make us feel welcome. Very cozy and just the right size. Much more intimate than any other place we toured. So far we are very happy with the care they provide.

I liked Shavano Park very much. It is brand new, and some of the rooms have never been rented. The people were very cheerful, making eye contact with the visitor and the residents. It seemed like there were a lot of people just out and about. The dining facility was lovely, and the menu looked like it was very appealing. They had a bunch of activities posted. They gave me a list of printed things, and I wasn’t paying much attention to it, but they do a lot of things every day.

Shavano Park was nice, but I did not get that homey and warm feel, and it seem more mechanical to me. It was clean, the people were nice, but it just didn’t feel that I could put my mom there. She wouldn’t be comfortable.

Shavano Park was very nice and top notch. The staff was awesome, very helpful, very caring, and in-tune with the residents. They had exercises, take the residents to different places, and have different types of entertainment.
