I put my name in Creekside Villas Senior Village because every other place I called was way too expensive for my budget. It's a nice place. My first impression was very nice because it's outside of Austin, so you're more in a country area but it's a little town. The building that we went into and had the interview with had a big area where they did get-togethers with all the chairs and tables and there's like a kitchen there. There's a really nice theater room, and they had a small room for computers and printers that residents could use. They also talked about planned monthly activities that you could attend. The person who gave the tour was very, very nice and she talked to my granddaughter first so she knew what we wanted. They had a 1-bedroom 1-bath, a 2-bedroom 1 bath, and a 2-bedroom 2-bath that you can pick from. Each apartment has its own kitchen, stainless steel smart start appliances, granite countertops in the kitchen and bath, a refrigerator with ice maker, and a dishwasher, and they have facilities in the apartment for a full-sized washer and dryer.

We really liked Creekside the best, but the other was a little cheaper. They were very friendly people and seemed very efficient. We toured an apartment, but we were within the bounds of what my father can afford. It was very nice. They had one that was furnished, so that we could see, and then another that was a little bigger, which was not furnished. But I believe those had full kitchens, which he did not need. We have known other people who lived there for quite a few years and my husband visited quite often and he was very pleased with it.

Creekside Villas had a place available, and I liked the way it looked so I moved in. It has newer buildings and I live in a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony on the fifth floor which is enough for me. They have some activities for the residents. There are people living here who still go to work every day. They don't have enough parking spaces though for the residents. So you have to wait for someone to leave before you can be allocated a parking space.
