My mom is now living at the Isle at Watercrest Bryan assisted living. It was very affordable and it's very nice. My mom chose it. They have a lot of really nice activities and things that she's interested in. We were able to get her more of an apartment so there's a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living area with a kitchenette. A lot of the other places were more expensive just for one room and a bathroom.
They have a very good chef working in the kitchen, providing nutritious and healthy meals to their residents. The place where my mom was before she lived with us, they didn't have a cook, everything was kind of pre-made and it just was terrible food. Here, she has a choice of two different dishes for each meal.
They have a lot of really nice and fun activities. They have a hairdresser right across the hall from her apartment. They have a nice library and mom loves to read.
She liked the way the whole place looked. It's very friendly. When you walk in, it's a big place, but it's very cozy. She likes all of that along with the activities and the food.
The nursing staff is really good too. They have people who go in and check on her and help her with her bath. She needed level 3 care and they have in-house physical therapy. For the price, nobody else could beat it.
They have arts and crafts, and mom has participated in those. On Wednesdays, they go to the activity room and they get their nails done. There's a grand piano down by the dining room, and there's a lady that plays that, and my mom enjoys that. She also goes to Bible study on Thursdays and she enjoys that too. They have outings where they take their residents shopping at Kroger's, Wal-Mart, or Target. They do that about twice a month. They have some type of a little party or a festival so this month, of course, is Halloween and then the next month they'll have a fall festival. They include activities where lots of the residents can get together and mingle and get to know each other.

My brother has moved into The Isle at Watercrest Bryan. The place is clean, and people are nice. When I walked through, there was a lot of activities. They have an open air courtyard, and they got a lot of activity rooms. They got a grand piano room, and just a lot of rooms.

I wanted my father at the Isle at Watercrest Bryan. I was much more impressed with their director and confident in his ability to fold my dad into a social setting. The bedrooms were the largest compared to other places. I liked that people were out interacting with each other, and their activities were very forward thinking and printed on big paper. The director knows what he is doing. The facility was a little bit older, but they had things set up with the doctors that visit.

Isle at Watercrest Bryan does an evaluation of the patient and charge based on their state and how much care is going to be required. The place is pretty good. They didn't have much of a workout facility. They had classes but they didn't have machine, treadmills and all the different equipment you're going to use when you work out. The staff members I met with were pretty nice and good.

I visited a friend at Isle At Watercrest Bryan, to me the place was very confusing. I didnt like the fact that when I went inside I had to find the elevators, then when I got off the floor Id have to find my way around the rooms. If I had dementia, I wouldn't be able to find my room because there werent any markings. They provide wonderful care for my friend, but its not somewhere I would want to be placed. My friend is in full care, and shes got Alzheimers, so they dress her up, give her medication, and help her with everything.

I visited for my parent and was very disappointed in the rooms. They looked like dark and dated hotel rooms. Air/heat is a unit in each room vs central air. Another disappointment and way over priced. Most disappointed after amazing experience at main Watercrest apartments. A few years ago a work colleague moved a parent out of the Isle after bad experiences. I expected so much more.

The Isle at Watercrest was very friendly, very comfortable, and set up to meet a lot of different needs. It was more like a resort hotel. They had a nurse who is stationed right there.

Everything at the Isle of Watercrest was very beautiful, and I liked it. I did not look at any rooms because they said they were assisted living only, and that is not what I was looking for. The lobby, the building, and everything on that side was very nice. It would have been a nice place if I needed assisted living, but that is not what I need. From the conversation that I had with them -- them talking to me explaining and gave me a little brochure -- they were very nice. Then they also mentioned the places that were for active seniors.

Wonderful staff. Nigel the Director has been outstanding in ensuring my parents transition was seamless. The team made a difficult time for us so much easier and our folks are becoming involved in activities already. First blush has been five stars.

Have a family member in this facility and when they moved him up to third floor it seemed like he would go days with dirty linens. I've rode to doctors apts with him using there transportation in which both times we were stranded at the doctors office for several HOURS!! Yesterday he was at breakfast and asked a question to the nurses and was ignored. Maybe they were just having an off day today but you can't do that to people you're caring for. If these things happen with me here what's going on when I am not present?

My mom was at Isle at Watercrest Bryan for her rehab. The staff was excellent with her. As soon as she pushed her button, someone would usually be right there. They were very punctual. All in all, they really did a good job with her. They also have very good food.

The Isle at Watercrest Bryan was very nice, and I thought they would be good, but they were very expensive. It was beautiful. The staff that accommodated me during my visit was very friendly, and she gave us some very valuable information.

I've spent some time over the past 6 mos visiting my loved one at this facility. The memory care is not assisted living-as I was told by staff, it is a mental care facility. There is a wide range of mental ability in the patients that they care for, and the more severe get the most attention. Since they were bought by a new corporation several months ago, they have fired many of the staff that were critical to my loved one's care, and reduced the number of staff overall. They rarely go out anymore, and activities are limited. I was surprised to read on here that they give visitors free meals. I've had to pay for mine, and most of it I would not feed to my dog. The facility looks good on appearance, but spend several days with your loved one there, and you may change your mind.

The Isle of Watercrest was a very nice and wonderful facility but it was also a little expensive. It was clean and everybody was friendly. The rooms were fine and the food was wonderful. The ladies in the kitchen were real nice and it was kind of buffet style. They had activities but she did not join since she was a stroke victim and paralyzed.

I have visited the Isle of Watercrest and it was wonderful. The staff was very professional and well-trained. They have a beauty salon, a workout facility, a place for games, and cafeterias on most floors. Their rooms were very accommodating.

My grandfather was a resident at the Isle of Watercrest during his final month on hospice. The staff here were extremely friendly and professional. They took the time out of their day to answer any questions we had and to explain anything that was happening. The staff responded very quickly whenever anything was needed and kept my grandfathers dignity during the activities that were required. The facility was very nice and included a reading room and outside patio, activities rooms, a hairdresser, physical therapy, and plenty of programs for residents. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this to anyone looking for an assisted living, retirement community or nursing home because it serves as all three.

The Isle of Watercrest was really a pretty great assisted living environment. The place was extremely clean and I was able to get along with the staff really well. While visiting with my mother the staff offered to get her whatever she needed, which really made me feel like it was a good place. We walked around and talked to various staff members for around forty-five minutes and every one of them greeted us with a smile. When lunch time came around they didn't hesitate to offer us a free lunch. We ended up sitting down with a few staff members who were also on their lunch and just chatted about various things. I don't recall everything that was said, but it was just casual chatting. I was quite surprised at how good the food ended up being. In places like this I'm used to not being treated well and getting poor food. This visit was one of the few times where this was not the case. That day we visited several other assisted living facilities and found this one to be far superior. Since that day we have of course decided to use this facility and haven't looked back since.

By reputation recommendation we decided to visit the facility. We were told that this is the best facility in the area true enough. It is very new and modern and spacious. The room is about 600 sq. ft and i think the place is very nice for my mom. When we visited the staff was very helpful. From what I know they have a lot of activities for the residents. Their dining room is very nice and spacious and comfortable. My mom will be moving in 2 weeks.

The facilities are very nice. The building is new and everything looks wonderful. I visited when the facility was so new that things did not at all run smoothly. Staff did not inspire confidence that they knew what they were doing. For example, the billing for my dad (who was in the skilled nursing facility) was completely wrong and was not fixed by them until many months later and after many attempts to speak to the staff about addressing this issue. Also, the turnover of staff even in such a short period of time seemed to be high. Moreover, I do not believe they have enough staff. And of the existing staff, few are sensitive enough to treat the patients like they would want to be treated or how they would want a family member to be treated. It left a bad taste in my mouth about care for the elderly in general.
