Most nursing homes are pretty bad. This was probably the best of the worst! He fell 4 times and the director tried to blame it on my father who was a resident there. FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. I brought him lunch everyday and sometimes dinner. Staffing is poor and HIGH turnover. I heard CNAS yelling at residents, took a long time when called and were downright rude. That's why I went everyday to check on my Father! I don't know what would have happened if I didn't come that often! Wish I could upload pictures of one of his falls where he had a HUGE bump on his head and the side of his face was bruised! PT was good. Nurses OK. Food gross and depressing walking in there. Anything nice was done by outside groups like churches or other groups who would do kind things for residents..mainly around holidays. Please make unannounced visits and have a meal or two first. And check online with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid for their ratings. Good Luck!

My wife is in Brenham Nursing and Rehab. I brought her here because Brenham is my hometown. Their staff is okay. Her room is clean. They are also serving real good food. Overall, Brenham is a good facility for my wife.
